Fuckin today sucked at work. The woman who shares job duties with me has been calling in sick all week and then wham bam quits today and our busy season is finally hitting, I was overwhelmed all day and it'll be at least 5 weeks before we have someone new.

Yeah, and half of it is volunteer. If i got paid for all the work ive done at the zoo over the past 5 years id be fucking loaded.

 

i work at a fruit/vegetable stand
selling fruits and vegetables to customers who bitch about the fruit all day

 

you don't get paid for the zoo?
oh well, that's still awesome and probably looks excellent on resumes.

Im a mangager at a ice cream/ coffee shop, and I work in education and research at the zoo.

there's a zoo around here, it's definitely not anything spectacular, but once i thought about (it was a passing thought) how to get a job there, but i figured you'd have to have a degree in biology or something of the like

yeah I just puffed a small one. I got to play hockey with my pops in an hour so I can't get destroyed like I wish. In the long run it'll be solid for my career, but in the short term it sucks. I have no respect for people who just do that, at least give a week notice yo.

I work with surety bonds...they are mix of insurance and finance. I really like it. it's a "real" job. Wikipedia that shit. I make real good money and get to say i got a job that has ZERO to do with my bachelor's

You do. I just made connections at zoo camp, and worked my way up the ladder.
