some of my friends wanted to know if i wanted to go on a burn ride down some back roads he said. i wasnt to comfortable with the situation cause very rarely there are cops out there and if i get caught again im in deep shit. idk i kind of regret it but i feel it was the right thing to do.

I noticed your location is 3.2 land do they have 3.2% beer limits in CO as well? I know when I go out to Utah skiing unless you go to a select few liquor stores all the beer there is 3.2%.

yeah we've got some funny laws in Colorado. They are called the blue laws. You are forbidden from purchasing a car on sundays (car dealerships are closed on sundays even for looking) or making an offer on a home on Sundays. The blue laws also prohibit the sale of alcoholic products on sunday.

There are two exceptions to the sunday liquor law. You may purchase colorado made wine because it supports colorado agriculture. You may also purchase 3.2 beer. In colorado we have stand alone liquour stores which sell wine, booze, beer and were always had to be closed on Sunday. and then our grocery stores are permitted to only sell 3.2 beer even on sunday. After they made the drinking age 21 you could still purcahse 3.2 at the age of 18 but that law went wayside a bit ago. Its funny when folks come for runs at redrocks because they plan on buying their booze each day and then many folks get fucked on sunday because they aren't aware of the law.

however our legislature did change the law and as of July 1, 2008, liquour stores can be open and sell all alocholic products 7 days a week, so I will be curious to see hat happens to the 3.2 industry...but we've got 3.2 of all the major brands as I'm sure you know from your time in Utah. utah has some really fucked liquour laws...not as bad as they were but still bad. It used to be you had to have a membership to drink at the bars in SLC.

As hot buttered rum string band sings....from CU Boulder to BYU its hard to get drunk on 3.2

^^ i fuckin love that song.. HBRSB kicks some serious ass.. saw them at 10k 2 years ago..

minnesota also has blue laws.. no car sales on sundays.. only beer on sundays is 3.2 from the gas station or grocery store... gas stations can only sell 3.2.. same with grocery stores..

in wisconsin you cant buy wine after 7 or 9pm i cant remember

^ Oh they still do the sponsorship things at the bars but you can get it at the door now. Its basically like paying a cover charge. But the Mormon stranglehold on alcohol is greatly outweighed by the skiing so I will gladly put up with it lol.

Oh and in NY its not illegal but most stores follow the old blue law of you cant sell alcohol before noon on Sundays.

utah is beautiful. Just don't get busted in utah.

Hell yeah joker hbr fuckin gets down. they are always so much fun to see.

i always found it odd that CO was so booze strict when Coors is located 15 minutes from the capital.

yeah. In many states you can serve it at 18 but not actually pour it until you're 21.

There's also something in WI about being able to possess unopened booze at 18...I don't remember all the fine details. I know here in CO if you're under 21 and have a case in your trunk you could easily get an MIP

Back in Jan of 2003 6 of us flew from Albany, NY to SLC, UT with a case each as our 2nd carry-on. We were all 18 or 19 at the time. Southwest airlines had no issues with it as it was a gift for "Uncle Ernie" as long as it didn't get opened on the plane.

As for alcohol I have a few Dogfish Head 60min IPA's in the fridge, but I may or may not drink them it depends if the occasion arises. Ive got a gram and a half or so of some good bud that I'll prolly take out biking with me tomorrow. For the most part I'm planning on sleeping in and then hitting the trails in the afternoon for some riding. Its gonna be in the 90's and humid though but I'm not scared.

Any other time I would agree, as a nice morning ride is amazing. But I didn't get alot of sleep this week so If I get up early to ride I feel I will end up Bonking halfway through as opposed to gaining my energy and riding all afternoon and being able to hit up a couple local spots.

I wish I lived in CO, the nearest decent hiking spots for me would be the Adirondacks which are about 2 hrs away. The Catskills which are about 1.5 hrs away and the Greens in VT which would be about 1.5-3 hrs depending on where I would want to hike.

Any plans for where your hiking? Or are you just gonna pick something in the am and head out?
