    well, the problem is, people don't know what the "grit" is. So, what if it is something that when heated releases toxins into the smoke. even water isn't going to purify that. it could be some other horrible drug, it could be anything really. i haven't seen any up close and personal myself and hopefully never will; but i have seen weed in the past grow moldy, and that can't be purified either. cause the spores from the mold travel in the smoke and then infect your lungs. so the best thing, i would think is to just stay far, far away from shitty weed like this stuff. it's nice being high, but it's better to be alive to get high even more often in the future.

    I find it quite suspicious that while the UK undergoes a 'drought', there is only this one type of weed in abundance, and that it's been adulterated, and that it is appearing everywhere.

    I think you should be VERY concerned over who is controlling your weed supply. Back a few years ago when I visited there, it seemed everyone was starting their own grows. But apparently gangs have now taken over for your supply to be so homogenous and adulterated.

    I think the word has gotten out that you Brits will smoke ANYTHING! After all you smoke soapbar like it's primo hash or something.

    You must grow your own now or petition your gov't to take steps to crack down on the gang and decriminalize growing, so those who need & want it can grow their own cheaply and safely.

    My guess is that shit is added to your smoke not only for weight & processing reasons but also to prevent mold. I wouldn't be surprised to find silica in that (which is very gritty, but also very absorbent). Unfortunately you could be inhaling some of that, which could be dangerous.

    So what is it? Salt? Silica? Sugar? Something else?

    Those pix on the other site made me think a form of silica - glass like beads. Not good to have near your mouth or in it!

    It's really a pity because everyone says the underlying bud is very good. This is what happens when things go commercial on a big scale. Additives give more weight (higher profit) and longer shelf-life (preservatives). These things ONLY profit the business, not the consumer. This is capitalism at its worse. You should REFUSE to buy this shit! Return it to your dealer & complain. If they don't take it back & give you a refund, bring it to the police & lodge a complaint about dangerous commerce. I bet that would stop it quick!

    The public health should outweigh ANY stupid laws on cannabis.

    There were a lot of busts, nationwide a couple of months back, but it appeared to be all small scale, house size stuff, no warehouses appeared on the telly.
    Sounds peculiar to me but perhaps I'm just suspicious.

    Well that COULD explain everything! My suspicions include the possibility that a LOT of ganja was seized recently and after it fell into police hands it returned to the market in this adulterated form. I can't imagine why the police would do this except to either mark the dope so its trafficking could be monitored, or to dissuade people from smoking it.

    I don't put too much creedence in that idea, as it seems to be adulterated purely for profit. But when SO MUCH dope is all fucked up at the same time, it surely means the supply is being controlled. And the recent busts mean the good stuff by small growers isn't on the market anymore, hence the shortage.

    I have never ever seen a place where the dope supply is so tightly controlled as in the UK. There's probably only a handful of people - BAD PEOPLE - ensuring that your dope is FUCKED UP! Believe me, it's always better to PAY MORE and get the good shit than support these gangs that are selling you SHITE!

    STOP BUYING this cheap crap (soapbar). It's not worth it. It don't get you high, it's probably going to affect your health sooner or later, and you'll pay dearly for it in the long run.

    Support your local growers, buy LOCAL, and you'll see great improvements in quality and eventually lower prices. Perhaps the police are in collusion with the gangs, cause this shit shows up right after the busts. Coincidence? There are no coincidences!

    This guy that messaged me said he had gotten some of this "contaminated weed" off of some guy and he asked the guy where he'd gotten it from and the guy said it had come from some Cannibis factory in Birmingham.

    Now ... I don't know how much truth is in that or not I live no where near Birmingham personally and this story is one of those a guy knows a guy knows a guy sort of tales so you don't know where the truth lies ... but if there are particular factories distributing the shit going around then something should be done.

    I also don't know about any massive raids here in Essex. Seems that when the police have a 'raid' it's more that they have stumbled onto a warehouse or house with stuff by accident. Like one person busted because the police walking out behind the garden saw the plant growing over the top of the fence. *d'oh*
    One other one occurred cause there was a fire in a connecting warehouse and when the firemen broke in to make sure they had put the fire out completely stumbled onto a massive factory.
    And then there was the story of the kind neighbors reporting the fact that the house next to them was being broken into when they saw 4 guys in ski masks exit a window carrying 4 big black bin bags of stuff. The police got there and found a house full of nurserys and grow rooms of various sorts.

    No major raiding though. ... at least none that is reported about.

    Sorry, but it's NOT just a few. Literally TONS of the stuff is moving thru the UK every month. Most ppl can't afford the good shit. and of course now the good shit is contaminated.

    It's also suffered a decline, along with the skunk. I live just ouside Southampton, and we can't get block any easier than weed.

    That said, i've got some non-contaminated weed now, so i'm happy again. :)

    Aye, same here...but i have to wait until JANUARY!!! for the next batch. And that gritshit is still around, my mate bought some the other day because he did a grit test and there was no sign of it. Looks like whoever he bought it from had mixed it with some uncontaminated weed. Watchout for that one,
