Life is good ya know but still sometimes you have to do things that are not always fun. I know people in their 60's who have partied their whole life
but they still got an education and they still have to work cause they do not want to live off the land or off of other people. Money does not buy happiness but it does pay the rent and buys food.

I know many people who wish they had gotten a good education so they would not have to struggle so hard to keep a roof over their heads. Our country is going through major changes and it is not certain what is going to happen. Learn to take care of yourself while at home do your own laundry, clean, and cook for yourself now while someone else is supporting you. If you want to be independent you need to be able to take care of yourself otherwise you will just end up being someone else's burden. I hope that is not what you want. Even in a commune everyone has to pitch in and keep things clean prepare food and somehow have an income to keep the lights on and pay the mortgage a commune will throw you out if you do not pull your own weight most likely....

Don't go to a circus school!
    The circus abuse their animals.
Next time you go to the circus, check
out the back of an elephants legs. You should
see old hook scars. Animals have rights.

Mike - - Two weeks after i turned 17 a judge gave me a choice, join the military or go to jail. That man literally saved my life!

If you enlist in the Marine Corps they will damn sure teach you the basic skills needed to be an adult in today's world.

You do the time as the price for learning lessons that cannot be learned elsewhere, and you can fake the needed attitude without changing who you are.

After you finish with the military you are free to do absolutely anything that you want .... without concern for what anybody else in the world thinks! Absolute freedom and individuality.

    Good luck in life Mike.

    Have fun and play safely!

I've thought about leaving as well, if I can't find a way into University I will hitch around Canada for awhile.

I do want to get a good paying job cuz I want to set up a commune or something once everything is said and done.

Plan on going into psychology or something similar then moving to B.C. I want the money not for me but to set up cabins and barns and such on a large lot.

But if all these plans fail I'm just gonna get up and go one day.

Honestly, do finish your high school first, after that you can do for as long as you want whatever you want but if you'd ever want further education you'll be glad you finished it. If you're 17 now it won't take long at all, just try to survive a little longer, thats really the only advice I can give. Being done with that gives some inner peace making you less what to run from all of it, and when you're done you can truly have the freedom to do so!

im pretty much in the same boat as you except i did drop outta school and move out. I am still workin on my education through a self paced school mainly to get the art class while its still free. i think it really depends on the person because now i feel so much happier. the ability to be independent, free and my true self is definitely worth it. my parents like your parents think money equals success and had high expectations and want me to be a certain way..... just like them. for me its made all the difference to be in control of my own life and i love it but you need to be careful because it most definitely can be tough, with it also comes the reponsibility of feeding and housing yourself etc. and the fact that you must now face the consequences of your actions, good luck with your decision, it took me a year to make mine :)
