They look amazing!! I really like the baby dread, I have some hair that I hope it becomes one, but after 3 months it's still nothing.
I realize this thread is a few weeks old by now, but I don't get onto this site too often. Even tho this is overdue, thanks to all for the kind comments. I think my heart just soared on the back of a unicorn through some little fluffy clouds and right into the sun.
looking awesome but ..isnt 350 miles in a week a really slow pace. i was the youngestr in my state to do a century way way way back and i remembered it bveing pretty easy and yea took a few hours but not all day or anything so it seems if u caneasily do 100 miles in under a day 350 should take barely 3 days max but then again ..family ourttings are more about the stops and scenes then all go go go
thanks, man. I just keep getting happier and happier with the progress. As far as the bike trip, it's between 50 and 60 miles per day. I average 14 mph when I ride by myself and about 18-20 in a pace line. Including 2-3 snack stops each day, I'm done riding for the day after 5 hours. Wake up at 5 am, on the road by 630 and in by noon. Me and my family don't care to really stop for sightseeing along the way unless it's to hit up a random lemonade stand run by kids or if the Amish have some nice baked goods on the side of the road. The real fun comes after we set up camp and meet the people camping around us. if the neighbors are friendly, we'll drink lotsa beers with them. If not, then we'll go into whatever small town we're staying in for dinner. Anyway, taht's pretty sweet you did a century. How old were you? My ass can't handle riding that long in one day.
i cant remember 12-14 i guess ..probly 14, ..yea cause i was already living in my 1st place (with 2 really cool wild racoons) and did thge ride with 2 freinds who i was planning on biking across europe with..but theyre folks (who i was rentinmg from) got a divorce and i hadta move and all our plans fell apart a centuary isnt that hard aty all, but i definately wasnt keepinmg pace with the pros..or at the back of the pack either i think i finnished pretty much in the middle ..but i wasnt trying to go fast or anything just was enjoying the ride...u mentioned ammish are u from pa the cenbturay wwent all through valley forge and not far from amish country i think
oh...but thats nothing a tour bikes 18 speeds.. i rode my unicycle from nyc to dc twice...while fasting for 10 ande 12 days...that was a much harder...and more fun ride
nah, not PA. I'm in NE Ohio. Lotsa Amish south, west, and east of here about an hour outside of this decaying hole. Real kind folk. Amish produced fruits and veggies and maple syrup etc are really popular around here.
yes they produce some good shit but evcen the amish are being forced into growing geneticly modified foods and chemicaly treatted tobacos
