you keep repeating that there once was a time of peace, exactly when was this? if your talking about the '60s than you are pretty far off. just because there was a certain small portion of the population fighting for peace dont mean it was a time of peace. the war was going on in both our country and in Vietnam. maybe its because you werent alive, not that i was either, but it sure wasnt a peaceful time at all, especially since they personally killed all things "hippy." there has never been a time of peace and there never will be. war, conflict, racism, discrimination, prejudice, are all human nature. as long as were here, there will never be peace.
There was more peace and freedom of expression back then. You will never find a more open community than the young people of the 60s and 70s. I do not believe it was a small portion of the population. It was a large majority of this country's youth. I am not saying there absolute non violence and peace, but the vietnam war pushed the counter culture into further expansion. This war going on now...could possibly do the same. Never say never. If you continue to believe no one can be at peace than you only lose your faith. There are people out there who believe we can achieve peace again. I am guessing you are not one of them.
Peace is a joke, go bomb something. Most the peaceful people back in the 60's and 70's just resorted to violence anyway because they realized peace was getting them no where.
