Countries where the people think it is a good idea for anyone to own as many guns as he/she wants must expect this and thousands of other gunshot murders. In the UK guns are greatly restricted in their availability, so when some nut gets angry he merely starts a fist fight and that's it.

Maybe it demonstrates how cheap life really is in the USA, which also explains why (uniquely) they don't have a national health service, corporate profits more important than lives.

guns don't kill people; People kill people! It doesn't matter how much you try to control the guns, if someone wants a gun, they will get one.

This shooting is a tragedy, and it is sad what has happened to all the victims and their families. I also feel bad for the shooter's family, they really had no idea that he was going to do something like this.

guns make it easier to kill people. Most people lack the fortitude to kill someone with their bare hands or even with a knife. I doubt this guy would enter a darkened theatre and start snapping people's necks with his hands. Guns take away the personal quality of murder and allow people to do it from a distance.

He should have used a gun. Right?

We all know that a commercial airline pilot's sole aim is to kill himself and all the people he wants to take from point A to point B. Intention, dude. Intention is everything.

Thank you. I thought I was the only person with common sense.

Can you remind me what a gun is made for? Oh, yeah! Killing people.

People seem to forget what a gun is made for.

Again, it makes it a lot less less messy, a lot faster and from a safe distance. Armored like that nutcase was, you would have been killed trying to shoot him.

    You're so close...

What do you base this on?

Hunting, sport and protection not wanton murder. If people choose to misuse a tool you don't take the right from the all people to own a firearm, if firearms were one day put under a prohibition of sorts the same scenario would play out that had played out with the outlawing of alcohol and currently drugs, the product would go under ground and only be regulated by criminals.

It's funny, I never thought I'd have to prove what a firearm, what a weapon is made for.

I thought we learned this as kids.

A gun is made for killing. What do I base this on? Only 9 CENTURIES OF HISTORY.

What do people mainly use to kill other people in wars...?
Oh, yeah! Bubble soap and kites! Very smart.

It's funny how many targets at practice shootings can represent people. I wonder why that is!

Alcohol prohibition can't prove every ban wrong, come on, guys, have a little more imagination!

And no, alcohol isn't a gun. I've never killed anyone by splashing vodka on people. Alcohol just wets people!
Guns wet people with THEIR OWN BLOOD.

And a gun is not a weapon. Everyone knows that.

It's obvious that making something illegal and dangerous for humans legal solves all the problems linked to it.

You are a fucking lost cause with either the biggest bad faith ever or the biggest stupidity ever.

Should I base the general level of intelligence of Americans on this thread alone or my other experiences?

Unfortunately, the bigger the sample of people, the likelier we are to find stupid people. This forum is sadly a great example.

    You found that yourself, Einstein?

Repeating a stupid slogan like a monkey, as good as it sounds, won't make it truer.

You can utter something stupid a million times, it won't make it truer or the Earth would be flat and at the center of the universe.

Go on, stick to your dear guns that are not weapons and that do not (dear God, how could one say *that*?) kill people! (and after that, gun control advocates are the ones who live in a fairy world)

I've proven my points with lots of facts here but those who disagree fail to see truth in a mere fact.
It's just like religions trying to prove science wrong with only stories as backing and no evidence.

Your gun is your religion and you are the god deciding if another person has to live. I wonder if you would stand up for a friend better than for your gun. "Happiness Is A Warm Gun" must be your motto.

    JUST FUCKING BAN ME.
I don't wanna waste more of my time by dealing with so much stupidity. I'd rather talk to smart people who may actually elevate me. Stay where you are and wallow in your pathetic stupidity.

You're proving something else than your point.
Education really is a priority in America.

    Not everyone apparently.

No this was never stated, what was said was that forcing something onto the black market inherently makes it more dangerous.

    ;)

    We intend to.

You have offered no facts just your narrow opinion, also you have been unable to refute the statement that violent people are the cause of unjustified homicide not the object they choose to commit the act with.

Just read the numerous articles I have posted if you want facts. If you can understand them.
