do you have to tip? i mean i have no idea how to tip is it 8% or 10% in amsterdam? do i just give it as extra and say it's a tip or something.

i dont want to sound cheap but i am very poor so i am hoping not to tip especialy if i have to tip over 2e a day since thats the money i am suppouse to eat with. will the waitress spit on your galss then ?

in finland it's not a custom to tip since waittress get better pay by law (though ofcourse you can if you wish) so i am not accustomed to tipping.

 

ya don't have to tip, but i usually round up at the very least......for example if the bill is 38 euro I'm leaving 40 atleast. FEBO is a disgusting, although tip free route if your worried

also, maybe it was just yesterday, but i seemed to get a lot of notice about smelling like weed outside of coffeeshops. but the people talking were brits, so then again i don't know... do people usually say anything about that?

 

lctricity made the point about Amnesia being the epitome of service, and I have to agree. Their weed was hands down the finest handled weed. Their bud dealer truly seemed to like to smoke dope and he understood good weed. The bartender was phenomenal. In a land of service thats slower than the Caribbean islands (thats slow mon) this guy was incredible. I was working on my pda (trying to find Grey Areas) and the guy noticed I didnt have my stylus, and without asking, brought me over a little stick from the bar. This might not sound like much, but its HUGE in Amsterdam. If your married and want to hang out in a coffeeshop, this is the one your wife will tolerate. They make a mean cappuccino as well. Thanks Amnesia dudes!

 

Yeah. I walked out of central station and some guy was smoking a joint right there. I dunno. he was Dutch, so I cant really say much. I smoked mostly in the shops. And way back in the far corner of the kukenhoff gardens tour bus (I wasnt on one) parking lot. We had a nice smoke and stroll through lush wooded areas there outside the gardens.. 70 degrees that day. So nice.
