it makes me laugh when people say 'there was no Jesus'.

There have been innumerable prophets and martyrs for faith... and these people were Christ-like, they did not punish others or condemn them as sinners, they walked around trying to HELP others and tell them 'stop fighting, stop selling your souls for money, just love eachother.'

It makes me sad how many people are out to piss on the Bible or faith in general because of historical insecurity. Just like Christians in general, they completely miss the point.

I saw parts of God's Warriors and ALL they did was seek out extremists to tell their story about how they were abducted by religion. It's just another effort to poison people against religion,

and it's working. People hate religion because of extremists and that's why CNN and every other media outlet focuses on extremists. The show is absolute bullshit. One of the guys was a fucking JEW from Oregon who claimed he had entered an extremist Muslim organization... this man reeeeked of misinformation, he was hardly a component of the organization itself and the organization denied that he was even a member.

So yeah. Fuck CNN and I feel sorry for all the people who believe this extremist bullshit.

 

I totally agree! Christians NEED to know why they believe what they believe. Blind faith is bullshit. I know the history behind my philosophy of life. I know some about Christianity and the history of Jesus. Who knows? Maybe Jesus has reincarnated millions of times, so there has already been a second and third, etc. coming of Christ that Christians never recognized...

Take a trip over to Germany and visit the mass burial pits of some 9 million holocaust victims and then I dare you to visit a lovely little country called Iran where some 60 Million Shiite Muslims are threatening to administer the next nuclear holocaust.

Now just because America makes huge immoral and unjust mistakes on a global scale because of the three republican G's (God, Guns and Greed), doesn't mean that religious fanaticism isn't still a huge threat. It actually means they are even more of a threat. Don't let your American guilt or delusions of tolerance stop you from realizing this threat. Misinformation about the state of these Middle Eastern countries is a big part of America's problem as well. Again, you can always count on religious groups and parties to provide massive amounts of misinformation and that leads to massive amounts of bloodshed.

 

First of all, the shits alot deeper than republican and democrat, and bush is nothing but a figurehead. Secondly, I know for a fact religious fanatacism is blown out of proportion, first hand experience is often preferable to propaganda, perhaps you should go to Iran, or indulge in a bit of Iranian/middle eastern/ African/ or Asian media before you rush to tow the line, they are simply terrified of us. Ahmadinejad is a fanatic and a nut for sure, but bush is worse, far worse, and far more dangerous. Religious fanatacism is not ubiquitous to Islam, as it isn't for christianity either. The best way to implement control, and turn the tide of public opinion, is through fear, people will be aquiscent to anything when they are afraid.

 

Like I said, you can go over there first and let me know how that works out for you. I've done research on Iran and I've seen Iranian TV propaganda. It is some of the most disturbing sick shit I've ever seen. American propaganda has nothing on their TV. American kids preschool TV shows don't teach hate to three year olds.

I never denied that their were middle eastern sources of propaganda as well. However American propaganda is far far more dangerous, because america actually posesses the means, and now the will, to destroy for the purpose of conquest, and an aquiscent public is more than happy to subvert their own constitution and endorse the slaughter and genocide of an entire people in the name of the war on terror. In other words the Iranian/Palestinian people are more akin to a shih-tzu with no teeth yapping, yapping away, while the United States would be more adequately represented by a rabid timberwolf with a need to feed and prey on the weak.
