Clint Vs Trump what a difficult decision

Neither candidate can be trusted and yet short of a brokered Republican convention one of them will become the next president. A third party candidate is out of the question at this late date – so what to do?

Trump is a buffon but my opinion is that he will get voted in and delegate his authority. He wants to run the country not deal with the intricacies. Maybe a good or bad thing, I don't know.

HRC will just keep the war train turning over:continue Obamas cause (not a good thing), keep the separation of people in motion and basically keep the establishment well paid and happy.

Trump is hated by both; time will tell if that is a good thing or not.

Cruz is also hated among both parties; possible hook up there.

This Pres race is just a big joke on the American people and the world; whoever wins, it doesn't matter, we all lose in the end.

Not familiar with the Moody Blues but here is one for anyone thinking of HRC, from the great Cream:

She's some kind of demon messing in the glue
If you don't watch out it'll stick to you, to you
What kind of fool are you?
Strange brew, kill what's inside of you

A hippie who hasn't heard of the Moody Blues? The originators of progressive rock, the concept album, and the group that introduced the Mellotron to the Beatles?

Anyway, I quoted them because I keep seeing posts that vilify Hillary with little substance. Such as the Cream post. I keep seeing people call her a witch, demon, liar, etc. but seldom see anything to back those claims up. Just repeated ad hominem attacks. No one seems to take into account the position she is in, or the repeated "vendetta" against her by the Republicans.

Same with Obama or Obummer as Orison calls him. A black and a woman have my great admiration for all they have achieved in light of the atmosphere of hate thrown at them in the U.S. today.

The 'hate' as you refer or criticism to which I prefer is warranted to both.

You act as though they are the only black and women that has made any accomplishment. If they are the only ones warranted of your 'admiration' then you are just as blind as everyone else that has dawned the horse blinders.

The atmosphere of 'hate' as you say has been caused by them; can you not see the segregation throughout America let alone the world in the last few yrs?

I never classed myself as a hippie( class is just accepted segregation) nor do I 'need' to know the inner workings of the Moody Blues.

It seems some on here have not left the 60's way of thinking. Sometimes the past is just that; the past. To be honest, radicalism really didn't do much then and will not today. Look at how long the BLM lasted. Only until the truth and errors of their 'cause' came to the forefront, does it now seem to be extinguished of its influence. People realized their cause was for themselves, not for the better union of people throughout America.

You can blame Bush all you want but Obama has, Syria, Benghazi, Egypt, Yemen, ISIS, the Iran Deal, drone killings, illegal spec op usage, obvious disregard to the Constitution and its founding fathers, NSA and IRS over stepping constitution boundaries, Segregation of the masses, taxpayer spending which exceeds all past US presidents combined, overuse or better yet abuse of surveillance systems and on and on it goes, when it stops, well soon it will. Look at his staff placements, all some way or another tied to the media.

Obama is good with the talk and can convincingly blame everyone else; Hillary is just mockingly and blatantly obvious in her shady dealings and the US voters are too blind to see it.

Intriguing comparison but I'm not sure what hipforummers would think of Jimbo as president (if that would be a possibility). Maybe we need a thread called Jim Morrison vs. Hillary Clinton?

    Hippies are so 1960s.

  9. Yeah that's a good point. It's more like if Jim Morrison were running against Katy Perry for president and people on a hippie forum were choosing Katy Perry.

They are not the only black or woman who has achieved major accomplishments, but Obama is the first black President and he has been elected twice by a convincing margin.

Hillary is the first Presidential spouse to run for President, one of the few women to ever run for President and has the best chance ever of a woman gaining that office. She has a stellar record in regards to civil, LBGT, women's rights, and health care. She was also a U.S. senator and the Secretary of State.

So, yeah, I think these two are exceptional and they have accomplished much in spite of the hate, obstructionism, false legal charges, and demagoguery thrown at them.

An 11 hour grilling of Hillary over Benghazi with over $20 million spent on investigations so far...to find what? Nothing.
Really? Just look at what they found Benghazi by the Numbers.

You don't class yourself as a hippie but do frequent a hippie site. That's okay with me.

I fully admit to not leaving the "60s way of thinking" as the "60s way of thinking" that I live(d) was a transcendental mode of thought and life. It wasn't, and isn't, tied to any specific year or era.
As to what radicalism accomplished in those years I would have to know what your idea of radicalism is but I would just point out the gains in civil rights and integration, women's rights, César Chávez, the Native American movement, environmentalism (the Moody Blues were the first musicians to mention ecology in their songs BTW), social programs such as Medicare (brought about by Liberal Progressives), the ending of the Vietnam War, the fall of Nixon...all with the help of "radicalism", marches, and protests.

Why I can even attend a class at my local college without getting thrown out for having long hair!

None of which bettered America, I suppose.

And then we come to this. Obama caused all the unrest in the Middle East. We don't have to look at the history of the region, the decisions of past Presidents or other world leaders, religious strife, economics, poverty, etc. Just Obama, why if he weren't President we would be living in a world of infinite peace right now!

The Iran deal sucks, so they won't have an atomic bomb for a few years, big deal, so what if they get the bomb? Drones? No other President would ever use drones, Cruz would go right to nukes and make the sand glow and Trump would stop Iran with all means available (nukes). He'd launch a pre-emptive strike on North Korea, bomb the Middle East back to the stone age and launch an Eisenhower/Patton type offensive on ISIS (read D-Day type tank assault)...and let's not forget torture and the murder of innocent families of terrorists. But Obama and his policies are the problem.

Then you mention the Constitution. Obama has disregarded the Constitution! Sounds like an impeachable offense that would result in removal from office....haven't seen that happen yet, so I'll just disregard that as hyperbola.
Same with the NSA and IRS, that's why we have three separate branches of government, a separate military, the free media, and a right to free assembly and protest. It allows a lot of push and pull.

I have no idea what you mean when you claim Obama has segregated the masses...no idea at all.
As far as taxpayer spending, I call B.S. Ever see how George W. Bush traveled? I have when he came to the school district I worked at to highlight his "No Child Left Behind". He even had his own private outhouse trucked in from D.C.

Yes we are blind, these two are the worst people to ever hold public office. Think how great the world would be if only Mitt was Pres. and Hillary kept to her knitting.

Jim Morrison has been dead for quite a while now. And Katy Perry has one hell of a cleavage.

    So there's that.

You do realize that all you listed is a common side affect of being famous, especially for political and controversial reasons, right?
