Sure not. She's a power hungry bitch. That is the only explanation why she stayed with Bill for all that time.
This seems like an unnecessarily cruel judgement from someone who has probably never spoken with the woman on a personal level. Why are people just ripping into her personality like this? And her marriage? At best she is a good person who means well, at worst she is another typical politician produced by a power hungry and corrupt system. I never see this level of personality dissection and scrutiny for other "establishment" candidates.
Emotions often get in the way of rational discourse. Instead of focusing on policy issues many people resort to ad hominen attacks. I agree, the assault on Hillary is relentless and largely irrational. My theory is that many people resent strong intelligent women. Women are supposed to be demure and submit to men. Hillary refuses to do this and so the attacks continue.
And I would never read the Washington Post, but I acknowledge that they might relate facts every once in a while. All this article is is quotations from secret service agents in relation to their experience with Clinton. Here's how it begins: That is such bullshit. I would love to see a woman president. I might even vote Jill Stein. But, in my opinion, Hillary is simply a corporate fascist. I don't see her as being strong. She submits to whoever has the money, which happens to be men in most cases. Call me misogynistic, but I don't see femininity as being a ruthless grab for power and wealth. To me that's more of a phallic, masculine thing. So I don't think she's a feminist. I think, in effect, she supports male dominance. Like it or not, most women aren't going to behave in such a narcissistic way. And to equate narcissism with strength and tell girls that's what being a strong woman is is just sick. A strong woman embraces her inner instincts and uses her ability to reason in an empathetic, unbiased way to make fair and just decisions, above the pettiness of this world.
May count for some of those people but really: I suspect many people sincerely dislike Clinton simply for how she comes across, not because she has a vagina. I think Meliai worded it best. They don't want a candidate they intuitively sense is saying several stuff just to get the position. That her democrat competition is in essence the better option makes 'Hillary haters' even more irritated I guess. That the republican competition seems insane and is causing several liberal voters to go with the safest option (yet they admit voting for Sanders in the primaries) is simply hard to respect... even for nonamericans.
There are "strong women" and there are "entitled bitches"... Seeing a woman in a position of power does not necessarily mean they are the former. Some are the latter. What happens when out of the public eye would show you which is which, but we never get to see that. Now, before telling me to site sources for my attack on Hillary notice I did not say that she was one or the other.
Corporate fascist, submits to money and men, narcissistic (not like most women), phallic, saying I equate narcissism with strong women.
Yes, she comes across in a masculine manner, she doesn't submit to bullying and stands up for herself. Unbecoming in a women.... I thought we were talking about Hillary Clinton, not Donald Trump. Why is that? Being pragmatic in electing a President causes you to loose respect? I should not vote or vote for Trump if Hillary gets the nomination? How asinine is that? I believe in taking the best option. You Asmo, would rather see Trump as President of the U.S. than have us vote for the next best candidate?
I don't get what you're trying to say by repeating my opinions of Hillary Clinton. Also, I didn't say you equate narcissism with strong women. I said TO do that is sick. I think you just honestly live in a reality where Hillary is this upstanding, tough woman who is bullied a lot. I must say that if Hillary truly is innocent of all that she is accused of, she must be a really strong woman, as she literally laughs in the faces of her accusers. Most people would take the charges seriously, but not her. She just laughs. Seems legit.
Implying that people who don't like her are simply against her because she is a woman doesn't help her cause. So all of the people who don't support her are just young, ignorant idealists who are now also misogynists? The people who seem to be playing the female card are HC supporters.....the same people who invented "Bernie Bros".....which is evidently what you are if you happen to be a male who doesn't like HC (what about the females who don't support her?). Or how about Madeleine Albright who said/implied there is a special place in hell for women who aren't voting for HRC. Etc, etc, etc. Sounds like playing the sex card to me. There are literally thousands of people who have posted all over the internet saying that they love the idea of a female president.....just not this particular female. It has nothing to do with her sex and it's getting pretty old hearing about that. It comes across as desperate....but I suppose that must be sexist too. That doesn't win many people over.
A rather simplistic explanation. Obviously it's not just because she's a woman, but the fact that she is an intelligent, forceful, women who stands up for liberal ideals and is willing to fight for them against the persistent attacks of the right and the rabble that believes their ceaseless attempts at character assassination while they offer little in the way of meaningfully addressing the issues and problems facing this country. Now that Obama is on the way out they have shifted their hatred to Hillary. They offer nothing in the way of realistic heath care, immigration, election funding, or tax reform. No way to create jobs, cut the national debt, relieve student loans, or end discrimination. Instead they block a Supreme Court nomination, run partisan dog and pony Congressional investigations funded by the tax payers, refuse to compromise, and go after the entire enlightenment and every progressive gain since Teddy Roosevelt. And how do they do it? Not by offering any meaningful alternatives, not by reaching bi-partisan agreements....but by relentlessly vilifying whomever is the current leader of the left. A partisan House impeached Bill Clinton and was only stopped because the Senate refused to go along with the witch hunt. Bill was cleared of perjury when 10 Republicans joined the Democrats and voted not guilty. 5 Republicans joined the Democrats to clear him of obstruction of justice. And we won't go into all the other asinine conspiracy theories leveled at him. When Obama became president he was accused overwhelmingly by Republicans of being unqualified to be President because his birth certificate was forged! He was born in Kenya, wasn't an American citizen, and he was a dual citizen and not eligible. Then they went on to claim he's a Muslim, he killed his grandmother, he was behind the BP oil spill, his real dad was Malcolm X....on and on. Because they have no legitimate platform they wage personal vendettas to distract the public. So now they have swung their smear machine over to Hillary, or rather intensified it as this has been going on for many years. We are in a full swing smear campaign against her...but not because she's a woman, not because of her policies (which I would be happy to debate), no, she's a bitch, a liar, a whore, crooked, hysterical, and a witch. But if they get called for these insults they use the old gimmick of claiming they are the victim! How could I accuse any of these beautiful people of being misinformed idiots spouting off Republican lies and talking points aimed at, not Hillary's polices, but her person? And I'm the one discriminating against them! How dare I call a pig a pig! I never said that all of the people who don't support her are just young, ignorant idealist misogynists. Never. But I do find an awful lot of people who continue to call her names and spread lies and misinformation about her. If you want to debate the issues debate the issues...but leave the name calling, lies, and misinformation at home. Hillary may end up in trouble over her emails or something else, but until I see something proven in court I will continue to fight for her right to be innocent until proven guilty. I don't believe I have spread any rumors or lies about Trump, Sanders, or any other candidate even though I have frequently questioned their policies and statements. If standing up for someone's right to a fair hearing and my calling out dirty political tactics is desperate I gladly accept that description. I don't really care who I win over.
Here's some more: Read the whole article here. But who do I think I'm kidding? No one who already hates Hilary is going to read that article, they have already made up their mind are convinced that Hillery is the devil incarnate.
I was going to say it wasn't simplistic but...you're right. It really is pretty simple. It's what her people do. This isn't rocket science.
Sanders is winning. If you really think Hillary has done what she has fairly you are not paying attention. There are so many examples of rules changing at the last moment and super delegates deciding on her years ago. She is the chosen corporate candidate. The way she speaks just proves that to me. There is an arrogance to it. Not like "oh look how great I did during the election" but more "this is all a formality". The only reason Trump is where he is is because his victories are so overwhelming and his voters so willing to be violent they have no choice but to accept it. He is also not a chosen candidate. But with Sanders there are few issues. First he is a "socialist" which to the Republicans means Communist. I hear them use the two terms interchangeably still capitalizing off Cold War fears. Ignorant people assume any form of socialism must mean the USSR just as the elite want. Second, for some reason he does not have the support of the black community. They just don't see him as sympothetic to them. Third, Hillary has the feminist vote locked down. The country is full of women who feel it's their duty as someone with a vagina to vote for her. And having an old white MAN as her opponent does not help. Bernie is the personification of the patriarchy to them. But they fail to see that that picking a women just because she is a women is just as bad doing that for a man.
List me fifty sources that corroborate that Hillary is winning unfairly. Just because she's best friends with the Chairwoman of the DNC doesn't mean she's getting any preferential treatment. Just like taking money from Wall Street doesn't mean that she answers to them. They pay her outrageous speaking fees because she's such a tough, inspirational woman. Nobody's ever seen anything like her before. And even if she was pro-corporation, so what? Am I supposed to be afraid of Ronald McDonald?
fixed it for ya. I'm sure that gender is at least a partial factor in the way that voters feel about HRC, both positive and negative. There's no getting around the fact though that HRC is perhaps the most corrupt, most tyrannical politician in America today. 100 million in "speaking fees" and other methods of funneling cash to her personal accounts from corporations Sponsored a vast number of congressional earmarks while in the US Senate Tried to force through primary ballot results in Michigan primary, when Barak Obama's name didn't even appear on the ballot Voice votes and coin tosses in race against Bernie have "magically" all gone her way
The double standard is intended to be impossible. If you're female and conform to men's expectations, you're too weak to be in charge of anything important. If you're strong and have your shit together, you're an obnoxious, mean-spirited bitch who is trying to be a man. If you're nice whenever you can, and tough when you have to be, then you're schizophrenic, dishonest about who you really are, and passive-aggressive. All this can be so easily solved; all we have to do is admit we constantly need a man to tell us what to do and think, as the Bible says, and get back in the kitchen. ` :dizzy2: First female President is going to be a more radical step than first black President, for this country.
Please, if people believed Hillary sincerely stood up for liberal ideals she would be just as popular as Bernie Sanders. Or Elizabeth Warren for that matter, if you want to play the gender card. Defending her against the right is one thing, but defending her against progressives who want someone who will protect the interests of the people and not the interests of corporate America is another beast entirely.
