maybe the situation in america has to do something with the bad education systems, the bad health care systems - and the fact that a great deal of the populance is composed of descendants from hardcore god-botherers from europe? as i already said bevore, the mechanics of infection are the same, uncut or cut, so it CANT have to do something with the circumciction itself.

 

I don't think the statistic quoted that the U.S. has one of the highest H.I.V. rates per capita of any country is accurate. And if you look at the heterosexual H.I.V. rates in the U.S., I suspect it is comparable to that in European countries.

 

see how america is a darker orange color, all those non-circumcising european countries have less aids then we do, all those african nations with high circumcision rates also have very high aids levels, funny how aids does not seem to correlate well with circ status in the real world

First off...
most of those African countries are not big on circumcision! North Africa has the lowest rates by far...guess why? Because circumcision is the norm there, Muslims practice circumcision as good Abrahamics (Such as the Jews as well). Sorry to dissapoint you, but Europe has one of the fastest growing HIV/AIDS epidemics...especially in the East (Russia, Ukraine, etc...)
The MIddle East also has the lowest in the whole world, mainly because they're Muslim as well!
Look at Spain and Italy, those two Latin nations have high percentages! The UK is growing as well!
Scandinavia rarely has any, because their populations are so small...and I bet they don't have as much sex as other people anyways! But this region has some of the lowest percentages in circumcisions...mainly due to NAZI mentality!
Now, Catholic Latin America, wow, Brazil leads the way with HIV/AIDS...uncircumcised territories! (Mexico has high circ % in the north, mainly due to US proximity and Jewish heritage in their Crypto0Jewish background!)
Canadians and Australians are now entering their sexual age for their uncircumcised populations! We are now seeing more and more needs for adult circumcision...but the HIV/AIDS rates are growing faster than ever, thanks in large part to this new uncircumcised generation entering their sexual explorations!
The case of the USA...most of the people in the US that have HIV/AIDS are black women...followed by black men...this last group does not circumcise as often as their White counterparts! Hispanics are the ones that circ the least (about 45-55% do circumcise) and this is the group that is now having the most births and less and less circumcisions, giving the USA an alltogether lower circ % alltogether! Especially in the West coast (California, Oregon and Washington...Arizona and New Mexico to some extent) as well as Florida!
Circumcision does not guarantee you imunity from HIV/AIDS, but it lowers the risk! If we combine this with condom use...it's the ultimate weapon to fight this plague!
Right now, Europe is seeing a rise in HIV/AIDS all together as well...just go to French, Spanish, German and other medical websites and you'll find out! Germany is growing in the trend with circumcision...mainly for beauty, but they also love the benefits that come with it...forget what the group and movement is called, but mainly aimed at teens and young adults that favour beauty, cleanlyness, and love...for both gay and str8!
As a bisexual man who got circed a year ago...I must say I have tried both uncut and cut men...have had sex cut and uncut...I can honestly say this:
There is a major difference in appearance of both obviously, but the smell, taste, and feel of the uncut is not too pleasing for me! (Remember, MY opinion!) I feel that the circumcised penis is far superior in many aspects! I did not lose any sensitivity, did not grow a callous over my glans, did not get mutilated, and all those folk myths!
I have been given the gift of hygene, a free glans, and a perfect look to my penis! Both men and women love it! I LOVE IT! It hurt for like 2 days...but I was not in pain where I couldn't move or go to the bathroom, or was crying all the time! NO! I think a trip to the dentist is more painful! I can masturbate fine and have the ame sensitivity! There are no weird odours, no smegma, no nothing! I always ask if it tastes good to my partners and they say YES! When I use to ask that after showering and cleaning under my foreskin I woul normally get a shrug or a "yeah, sure" while the sexual activity proceded to another position and sexual act! I love getting more oral sex than ever! I do last longer! There are many advantages to this! The foreskin is really not sensitive! Honestaly, it's the glans, people just say that as an excuse to keep it! We are humans, and we have brains, and we have evolved and the foreskin serves NO PURPOSE NOW! We wear clothing now to protect our genitals! Those clothes create humidity perfect for bacteria to grow under the foreskin! Think about it! WOmen are different, they have internal organs! As much as people say that the foreskin gives us an internal organ... well, go back to the herds out in the wild! I lived in a civilized world thank you! You cannot compare female circumcision to male circumcision! What is done to women is just a violation! To men, it gives them more benefits! They don't have a penis that looks like a dog's penis or lipstick! The glans is free and plumps up with no retracting foreskin!
Already too long of a message! But I thought I should clarify the map on HIV/AIDS! Listen to WHO and UNAIDS...they have the real deal there!
And for the question...
If I'm with a guy who is not circumcised...I do ask him to go clean it under my supervision! It should always be done...everytime a man urinates, there is urine trapped in there! No thank you! It's embarassing, but it has to be done!

asia - as an european i ought to have an idea o our countries..... . ukraine is partly europe, though it is as far removed from classic europe as possible. and russia... hell, russia is bigger than whole europe, so pls... i know americans have a simple fiew of europe, but some research yourself wouldnt hurt that much.

EDIT- Can I just remind that Ukraine is one of the host countries for Euro 2012? It's not like they'd approach an Asian country to take part and host, is it? And Russia won in 1960.

 

classic europe: from spain over france, germany, italy, hungary slovenia, greece towards the bosperus. the UdssR and later russia take part in the euro for political reasons, not because it is an european country. sidenote: israel also takes part in the euro though clearly not on the european plate.
ukraine is clearly counted towards eastern europe, not to the classic europe most ppl think off when talking about it. i wouldnt count a country like turkey to europe too....

you are right, ukraine is countet to europe. however, comparing eastern europe and europe is like comparing apples and bananas. if i write " england is compareable to the ukraine " and you go along with it... well, you get my point?

Classic Europe = Greece towards The Bosporus?! The Bosporus is in Turkey! It's the part where European Turkey meets Asian Turkey. But then you say you wouldn't count Turkey as part of Europe? The Turkish Thrace IS Europe.

'Eastern Europe' is too political. It's all Europe these days. Comparing England to Ukraine is absurd. They're different countries, but they're still both in Europe. You can't take the classification of a continent away from a country because the two countries aren't alike.

I'm Indian. India is (obviously) part of Asia but is nothing like China. So, does that mean that either of the two aren't part of 'Classic Asia'?

Hmm, Israel seems to have one of the lowest rates of HIV according to this map.....that kind of refutes your point, since most men in Israel are circumcised.

Anyways, I've only seen a handful of penises, and they have all been circumcised. It has never been an issue for me....I grew up in a town where 80% of the population was Jewish. All of my male friends are cut. They don't have any remorse about it. I suppose it might be different, though, if they grew up in a town where they were the only jews, the only circumcised boys, they might be angry about the fact that they were cut. They might feel like an outcast, or shy about their penises. I don't know, because I'm not a guy, and I don't know how men think.

I have a family friend, Jewish, who married a muslim, and moved to Germany. She did not circumcise her son. I suppose that's for his benefit, perhaps being circumcised is not the norm in Germany. However, he is raised by his mother as a Jew. They celebrate jewish holidays and the like. If he ever decides to move to a place where there are a lot of Jewish people, or move to Israel, it might be a bit confusing. Like, he's jewish, but uncut. Then again, he might not have a problem with it.

I suppose it's a culture thing. I'm open with all my male friends, and out of curiosity I asked them how they felt about the fact that they were circumcised. They didn't seem to think it was an issue, or regret the fact that their parents made that decision for them. When I told my mother I didn't believe in god, but that I identify myself still as a Jew and would raise my kids as such, she said she doesn't care what I do with my life as long as I marry a jew and circumcise my son, if I have one. So I don't know if I'll actually do that...

Just to put my two cents in. Sorry this post is long. And as a disclaimer I acknowledge the fact that I know almost nothing of what uncircumcised men think of circumcision. I have a pretty one sided view of the issue, because of my upbringing, but I am always open to listening to what others have to say, this topic interests me somewhat.

I don't believe in the mythical gods of our culture. Too many holes in the story, especially that covenant thing. God, creator of the universe and all within it, didn't have the forethought to make penises without a prepuce?

I personally think mutilating the genitals of an infant for no medical benefit is hideously wrong. If a Jew or Muslim want to remain in their religion, let them decide at an age when they can alter their body themselves. I was baptised as a child - at least when I became a heathen as a teenager there was no lasting scar or mutilation from that. However, I am but a voice crying in the wilderness of complacent religious "tradition."

Here in South Florida most men from Hispanic or Caribbean Island cultures are uncut. I prefer natural, the way "god" if you believe in that, intended men to be.

 

that was a good one . Again, I think it's a matter of culture. I strongly believe that if I were born and raised outside of the jewish culture, I'd be uneasy with the idea of circumcision. Rationally, I see no point in circumcision, but I can't bring myself to be against it, because it is so the norm for me, and because I haven't heard anyone directly complain to me about it.

Also I don't have a penis, and I haven't played with many penises, and none uncut, so I kind of just don't know the difference.
