CIRCUMCISION (A sensible discussion)

I finally got round to seeing the doctor this evening. Surprisingly, she believes it not to be phimosis at all, but a rare condition called "Balanitis Xerotica Obliterans".

For now I have been given a prescription for some steroid cream - although I'm going to have to wait until tomorrow before I can get it filled, as the chemists were already closed. I asked about whether stretching exercises should be undertaken as part of the treatment but was told that they were not required, as the steroid cream dealt with that side of thing on their own.

We also discussed the matter of circumcision as a possible option, although I made it clear that I did not want to take this option if it could possibly be avoided, which although she agreed with me I had to accept that circumcision may yet have to be considered, but only as a last resort.

It appears I was correct in my own diagnosis that each time the woulds heal they leave a scar tissue, which not only shrinks the skin, but does not allow any give, which mean that the condition can only get worse - that is, unless the steroid cream is successful, which I certainly hope it is, because I am dreading the idea of having to have the head of my penis resembling a dried up prune. Time will tell.

 

Pineman, this has worked somewhat for foreskin restorers, it may work for you, we circumcised guys are often left with scars that are very old, by grabbing the skin between the thumb and index finger and rubbing it back and forth you can slowly break down scar tissue, I've been doing so with mederma scar cream and I have made some success with it although it has taken a long time, since your scars aren't as old you may have better success

I have a huge brutal scar on my back thats broken down huge over the past few years, same with a large burn scar on my arm. I'm sure it will work out for you.

 

Pine Man -You are on the right course, but i would think that a combination of the steroidal cream and, after a while, a little stretching would hasten the process of enlarging the opening in your foreskin so that it can easily be retracted. I agree that circumcision should be the last resort if you are not comfortable having it done. And by the way, my glans does not look like a dried prune.

 

my boyfriend is circumcised, and I personally like it. It's a lot more cleaner than an uncircumcised one, and the foreskin makes them look pretty nasty. My last boyfriend's cock was uncircumcised, and it smelt and tasted like shit. Plus, circumcised dicks look hotter. =p

In fact maybe you could gather some of the people from your trailer park and pitch the idea to the Jerry Springer staff. You could sit in the middle wedged into a chair wearing pink spandex tights. On the other side of that though, everyone has a preference. I wont lie that when I was with my ex I perfered cut dicks, because he was the best lover that I ever had and that he was cleaner then the person I was sleeping with before. Then I got together with my fiancee and I found that uncut dicks dont all taste bad, and that he was the better lover.

After I looked up Circ. stuff I decided based on information that I had obtained that I was against Circ. due to the fact that they are chopping bits of skin off of babies, which is a terrible thing. But if your going off of only personal expierence then it's easy to be biased towards whatever your current lover is.

I asked this question in a prior poll I ran, and it seemed that the opinion was divided, with the females preferring the feel of a cut penis inside them a little better, probably because the coronal ridge of the glans frictions back and forth inside the vagina during intercourse, while the uncut penis foreskin often slides back over the glans on the outthrust. But opinions differ, and can change based on how good a lover the guy is.

 

and completely avoid the fact that most american women have only experienced cut penises, did you include to only vote if they have had sex with both? or did you just ask whatever they prefer? as there is a huge difference

women will say they prefer cut but it doesn't really matter to them in general, and if they do care it always leans towards intact penises, a foreskin is meant to be sexually good, reproduction is one thing evolution will get right by design

I'm circumcised. It never bothered me that I had no say in the matter until some of you began to complain, then I thought about it, and I feel cheated...not really. I cannot say that I would prefer to be uncut, as I have no frame of reference. Let's just put it this way...I am happy the way I am.

Both of my sons were circumcised at birth, and neither of them complain. I do know some men who have had to be circumcised later in life due to medical problems that developed (I do not know the nature of these problems). To me, it would be safer and much less traumatic to be cut when one is an infant.

 

Idk, I'm cut and my penis feels fine, and every study has basically come to the conclusion that sexual satisfaction is the same before and after being cut for men that get to do both so whatever. I don't feel cheated, I prefer it cut, but I couldn't do it as an adult, even if they knock you out and it's only minor discomfort, like I just wouldn't be able to stop thinking about that knife lol. But like I said I like how it looks better cut. But it doesn't matter, the huge majority of us have had what we've had since either birth or like 3 weeks old, and for us that is what is normal. And yes, I probably would have my son cut too.

 

keep in mind when looking at those studies that they are often very biased, the latest one that hit the news was done as part of the flawed HIV/AIDS study, they did not have the questions asked by a questionaire or anything similar but face to face asking them when people are less likely to say something iswrong, If i remember correctly there was also an abnormality in one stage of the questionaire where the circumcised guys reported problems but it somehow corrected itself by the next time they asked.

there have also been studies on sensation of the penis in both intact and circumcised men where I kid you not that they tested only the parts that both penises had and then said there is no difference in sensitivity. so nowhere in the study did they even see the sensitivity of the foreskin
