Stuff from the Board meeting earlier this month.

We decided that the proper order of doing things was to post an end of year money statement "final books" Total. What came in and what was spent on office supplies and other operating stuff.

Do corp. taxes and file those. Fed and State.

After filing which would make us have a recorded track record, we would then fill out the forms for Tax Exempt status with the Fed.

That's about it.
Corporate taxes happen anytime between Jan 1 and before April 15th. We need to get and read those instruction.

I guess that the Jan Board meeting is officially called to order. What fun.

Sec. reports that no old business exists to carry forward into this meeting. Last meeting there was some discussion about doing taxes first and having those reported and recorded, afterward going on to fill for Tax Exemption Status. Once we are officially established. It was resolved.

I'm too busy right now to read the tax forms and to do that. I a while.

As the January 2014 Exe Board Meeting is now open.

I am here..Looking into my books. I see we have 0.00 amount of $, we have had 0 income and 0 out put for the year of 2013.

 

btw, we had a board meeting in Jan already

 

we did this

 

all we have had to come in was petty cash from our own pockets. We have had 0 donations from the public or private orgs.

As soon as we become fed exempt and can give receipt for donations, I do think we will have some income by next yr.

 

I think we should start our meeting with a date and time so we will know what is who and who is which.

 

I believe that that was December and that we did close it as you say, because it was moving on into January.

Kind of like it is right now. We stand at the last minute of January and we are tripping over Fe Brew ary. (February) in a minute.

 

We need some money that was received and spent in 2013. We need to report a number greater than zero.

(Being nonprofit does not mean zero) It means that all money and property belong to and stay the property of the incorporation.

Meaning that we don't ever get any dividends, percentages, or direct money, as if we were some kind of owners or something. Right?

The corporation is allowed to make a profit or to have millions of dollars at the end of the year. We cant have it.

However we can be paid a regular salary for for services and our management.

 

Mary, we need to show whatever amount we spent on office supplies (remember printer ink cartridges and reams of paper?) and for operating costs.

I'm pretty sure that I had Mary Jo sent in some money.

As I recall you said the all money got spent on supplies and that the balance was $0. Do you recall?
Should I go back through the thread, and get the numbers. Do you have those?

What I'm asking is the number for what got sent in, and also the number for what got spent. That might match but they don't have to. In? office supplies, etc.?
