Hi guys. I'm here.

Report is no old business. Unless you wish to count our discussion about the IRS paper work. But nothing was scheduled as a carry over from the last meeting.

We could start with these topics form last month: IRS; Getting certain Papers from the Universal Life Church or not; and Did Ranger really wish to withdraw as the President or not. If so, then does Sag get appointed as Pres?

Or we can move to new business. Or do any of that as new business, if you wish.

I have to buy a credit card to get my credentials. I can't order online unless I have a CC. No on can use their CC for anyone but themselves. It has to be the same address on the card as where it is to be mailed.

 

I will do that Wednesday..I'm just going for the certificate and I'll deal with the other stuff another time. All we need is a certificate. Make a copy(s) and mail with the form.

 

I have to log out now, but I will be back tomorrow, or maybe alter tonight..

Just checkin in. Mary had some other thoughts about the prez thing.

 

I Think, that if Ranger wants to retire, he may.

My thoughts were that if Mark wanted to take his seat that that would be fine too. Mark is active in our church and participates in the goings on. So Mark would be a logical choice.

With further thinking, I thought we should all co-chair each seat.

 

That's okay with me.

Shall we double check with Ranger and ask him first? Hey, Ranger!

I think if you look into our bylaws you'll find that officer terms our for three years. Then an election in a General Church Members' Meeting.

I would say that Mark would be appointed to the Position, for the remainder of Ranger's term, and then it would necessitate a new election, in order to make it all official.
Like either in the next general meeting a vote, or in the January general meeting. Others should also be allowed to run as well, just to be fair.

That's my thought.

others? which others are you speaking of? I mean sure if 'they' want to they are free to run.

Of course Ranger has a grace period to decide what he wants to do. Ranger, the ball is in your court.

 

I am not sure about that, tho the thought had crossed my mind. The certificate by itself is $5.00 I'm pretty sure most of us can handle $5.00. We can order the other stuff if we want to later. The wallet sized one takes a few weeks to make.

I'm thinking I will just go with the $5.00 one for now. The sooner we get this accomplished. The sooner we can get the 501 filed and we wont have to deal with complicated tax forms every yr.

Then in the other forums / facebook we can set a date and announce a date to start a General Membership meeting (pick a date) in the beginning of October. A voting meeting for all.

Oct 2nd? Oct 4th? Something.
