Well if he's already been nom'ed and all what else can I do.. I am not power driven, I just want to get this DONE!!.. I don't care who's Chairing cuz I aint been here and I aint leavin', so some one make a decision for me. Chris has way more knowledge on the subject then I do, he has experience in non profit where I do not.

BTW Spud did respond to the docs and said YAY. Now that the ice is broken and someone has come forward and said yay, other's will follow suit. Yay.

 

Has Chris accepted, is he going to file it in his state. It's a need to know thing and I need to know. All I wanted to do was be secretary/treasurer from the start.
When you nominated me and Mike second, I thought I was thrust into it and accepted the duty. bc someone had to step up and get it done.

So I am at a stand still till we hear from Chris? It's been a few days and he has not commented. So do we wait some more or go forward?


Or should we sit on the phone for hours 'talking' about getting it done. Daylight is burning kids, chit now or get off the pot

Just got a call from Steve. He's thinking that somebody who he doesn't know named Wah is President and like we dumped him for being President or something.

Tried to tell him that he's still in. Nothing's changed. That we're just trying to nominate somebody as the Chair of a committee to create and discuss bylaws and stuff. Trying to make it official for the record to have somebody to bang the gavel and say meeting open.

Ok, I officially withdraw Chris' name from nomination. He ain't going to do it. Anyway.

If nothing happens then you win by default and you can declare a GE meeting open, for the purpose of accepting version of paperwork from anyone who wishes to submit anything. Then Debate. Later on a series of votes when the time come.

Section 3: QUORUM
Two (2) members of the Church of the Good Earth present constitute quorum for the purpose of voting.

Because we never know how many people will show up. There have been times in the past when Mary was the only person to show up fro 2 months straight.

I argue to strike Section 3
Thus having no mention of any numbers at all. Remove restriction.

I agree to strike Article 1V, and I think you are right, so the motion is to remove Article 1V and have no quorum, is that correct?

If that is corretect I motion we strike Article 1V and do away with a quorum.

Which would leave no mention of how many.

That would mean that if I and everybody disappeared for 6 months straight and you were the only person, then you could vote and be the majority and change or amend a new bylaws if you needed to.
