In the bylaws, what constitutes a qourum?

Speaking of LOL. Cakes, Zev had asked "When do we have meetings?"

A classic answer might be, "Whenever" LOL

Technically, set in the by-laws We should have 4 General Meetings per year. Hopefully though not locked in stone, Jan, Apr, July, Oct. Ideally each would be pre quarterly tax filling time. (i.e. before) Which would mean far enough before the 15th of each of these months to get something to go thought the U.S. Mail if needed to. And after the end of the previous month for totaling the Books for that closed month.

That's how almost all Corporations do it.

Corporate Board meetings are in the by-laws as once a month. 12 per year. Committee stuff is Board Meeting stuff.

The dates should follow the same rule as above for the Quarterly tax concept, and the close of the books on the previous month.

Best rough dates for meetings should be the 2nd through the 8th of the month. Anyplace in that kind of range.

I know that that is a long drawn out explanation, but we did leave our by-laws very flexible for good reason. (We're Hippies)
LOL and so we don't shoot ourselves in the foot and break our own rules.
We can also call a special board meeting at anytime.
Board Meetings are open to all members.

Anticipating other questions.
Only board members vote at boarder meetings. Although, anyone can be recognized to speak by the Chairperson.
General Meetings, By-laws can only be changed at a general Meeting and or By a General vote. Not the Board by themselves.
Anyone can vote if they have been hanging out in the GE Church thread. Before the meeting like within the month or two. Non specific. Group approval or challenge and group Denial. On a case by case basis.

Oh, Christ. My week got unexpectedly busy and I *totally* forgot about the Business Meeting. I'm *so* sorry, Mary.
And I'm not going to have more than a few minutes on line today.
Please convey my apologies to all for my failure to pitch in (copy and paste this message if you like). I'm not sure EXACTLY what the PR Committee gig entails, but it sounds like something well within my skill set.
So, if the voting members want to put somebody up for the job who completely fraking flaked on this week's Business Meeting I humbly accept the nomination and await the guidance of The Will of the People. If I *am* elected to the committee, I will do my best to contribute and be helpful to the best of my ability.
