Church Operations Business

I would like to address everybody who is in and out of here.

Our last MUST is to appoint or elect our three officers. I would much prefer elect.

So far we've had here at this General Meeting, the following Operational Members:
Mike, Kenny, Spud, Tillerwah, AC Smith, Mary, Ranger. (7)

All of these are on the Executive Board with the exception of Tillerwah, who is too busy and has respectfully declined.

The Executive Board is:
Mike, Kenny, Spud, AC Smith, Mary, Ranger.

 

I move to close the meeting on the mission statement and bylaws that I have voted yes on (each) and I open the floor for nominating and choosing the 3 officers

 

The 3 officer positions are:
President, General Secretary, and the General Treasurer.

I keep asking for folks to speak up if they would care to run for any of the 3 positions. That was days ago. I'm pretty certain that AC has may it pretty clear that he doesn't want to be involved in that. I talked with Mike. Mike is not up for that. I talked with Ranger. He says that he would. I haven't seen Spud for a while. Perhaps Mary could ask him but I don't believe that he is up for running for office.

By process of elimination this leaves Mary Ranger and Me (Ken).

I am here to do what ever is necessary. President, General Secretary, and the General Treasurer one or more. Any or all.

Mary is pretty much up for the same as I'm. Any or all.

I just talked with Ranger. He'll do president, and is amenable to a Co-Chair president office as well.

There has been discussion before about having Mary do the General Treasurer position. Note that currently we have no money and no income sources.

General Secretary is the position with the most duties, because we rolled three positions into one position.
I am writing the meeting minutes, so Mary suggest that I do that office. She also has experience here so I would suggest that we both co- run this office and can split the work load.

This is how I'm seeing the picture.

I would be up for Treasurer and co Secretary if nominated.

 

I second closing the 2 amendment votes, and I vote yes to both of those.

 

I thought that you (Mary) could co - the Secretary position with me too.

You can't Second yourself. Where's Mike or Ranger or someone?

And as I am a third party, I nominate C.M. Craven as president with Mary Clanton to co-chair the position as President.

Need 2 Seconds and some vote on these.

And any other nominations. Anyone.

You just watch. Mike will drop by and he'll Second everyone for every position. LOL

And he'll vote for all of us in the same shot. You'll see. LOL

 

I second the nominations of Kenneth Heller and Mary Clanton respectively for those offices for which they currently stand in nomination...I also vote for each of them and myself...

 

aw, dam, I missed out seconding but can I cast my votes?
if so i vote for everyone in the running. If you come up with
a need for a body to fill a position, I will greatfully accept it.

Mike, if you look back up th thread there may be a couple of bylaw amendments needing your vote.

I have edited the Mission Statement and the Bylaws and printed them out and these will be sent to the State.. the first draft will be set aside.
