That our Cakes! Making money in the middle of a tornado! An inspiration to us all and to all of humanity. Personally, she makes me feel like a laggard. That is just the kind of American spirit that shall surely pull us all out of this recession. And all that I said to her was, "You go girl." I can't begin to imagine what she would have done if I had said something more, like, "Liftoff." Very dangerous, here. Be careful what you say.

Cakes, the online mail tracking (USPS.gov) says that you didn't get my card yet. Never trust the government. Hopefully on Monday.

BTW. Cakes. I don't think that Mouseman has figure out responding to "Friends Requests" yet. I believe this is why he doesn't know how anybody can see that he is on-line here. Perhaps you can help him with getting that going. That way he will know when you and Ranger and others are on-line. It's more fun that way and it might make it all much more participatory for him. i.e. More postings from him if he sees who is on-line currently.
    You go shepherding Girl!

Yikes, no liftoff plz Kenny, I'm old.. I may not make it back..lol...Tenacity is my middle name.. I never give up. I will give out before I will give in. All I need is an ounce of encouragement and it fills my sails to glide across even the most trecherous of oceans.

I got to the sale on a wing and a prayer. I traded a neckless for a space to set up, soap for gas and I gave a smelly jelly for a taco.

I pitched Body Butter and Goatsmilk body spray, while the wind whipped my hair around till it stood straight up on my head. I held it in my hand as I approched the passers by letting them get a wiff of the intoxicating fragrance of my luxurious soaps. I dazzled them with the sparkling swarvosky's crystal neckless as they gazed hipnoticly as it danced before their eyes making rainbows in the sunlight.

I was in my element when nature took her best shot at me and lifted my canopy like a leaf caught in a wirllwind and carried it across the road, the ppl gasped and awwed as I bravely went chasing it into the flying dust.

I caught hold of it just before it slammed into another booth. It was all so exciting and the cold seemed to fade momentarily as I caught my breath and dragged the canopy back to it's space.

I thought that was surely a sign that it was time to pack up and high tail it to the house so that's what we did. It was warm and cozy at home. The fire was flickering in the hearth, my sweet hubby waiting with a smile even tho he did not see hide nor hair of the elusive 10 point he caught on film the day before. He was glad I was home and had sold some product.

I believe I will wait till Spring before getting back out there. I dont want to take a chance on ruining my products in the weather. Ya just never know what Texas weather will do these days. We laughed, sipping on hot cider as I relayed the events of the day to Lynn. It was good.

As I read the words on this board, I cannot but help to feel inspired. So many stories of life lived, so much love given and taken. So much time spent on growing and learning, fulfilling destinies of intertwined facets of Unity and hope for a brighter path that would bring us into a consciousness of appreciation of Eternal Life.

The flame that brunt a passoin inside us that drove us into a relm of knowledge most angels fear to tread. Our desire to unlock the truth and lift the vail of decite and reveal the layers of ancestrial wisdom that has been covered with lies for eons, now breaking loose from the prison of dispare into a conscious of being true to ones self and holding fast to the dignity of our awakening.

What we have to offer in the way of wisdoms learned and applied from the Dawning of our experience, would be honored justifiably written in a solom oath of our vision into a readable illistration of who we are and what we were/are about. A monument of what really happened and not some media hype fantisized for greed but a true tale in the adventures of The Happening.

If ya cant decifer what I said.. I will condence it for you. A BOOK!!! Not just a few pages in someone elses book but one of our own. I know it has been brought up in the past and then left unresolved, laying on the shelf with abandond hope of never being fulfilled.

Just in these pages alone there are several chapters written and if arranged properly would be a most enjoyable and informative read.

We could call it A Band Of Angels ( if it is not taken already)

Well that's my thoughts of the day.

Hummm.. I just googled Band Of Angels and there are tons of it, soooo.. maybe Angels On High.. we were/are Angels ya know, sent to help mankind, and we were all on HIGH ;) A real, first hand account of what really took place in the everyday lives of the Hippie. Not about the grand slammers like Leary or Ginsburg but the events that took place within the community itself. A revelation of living outside the box of nuts and bolts and back to the garden of our existence.

I know we are all set in ours comfort zones, our protective shields. We all have so much on our plates but there must be one out there with some skills to put this all together. A group effort perhaps. Get it all down from each one of us and blend it into a perfect rendition of our reality.

We need to do this ppl. It is as simple as telling a story about something that went down with us all being a family. We do it here, why not gleen all that is here and calibrate it into a readable format with personal experiences and the lessons learned.

It would fly off the shelves and I'm sure eventually made into a movie. Yes, yes, yes.. wanna??

"The flame that brunt a passoin inside us that drove us into a relm of knowledge most angels fear to tread."

You said it yourself. "angels fear to tread."

There is even a song with that as a part of the lyric. "Fools rush in where angels fear to tread." It's about LOVE.

There's your title. "Angels fear to tread."

And guess who lays out books for press, for a living. And guess who copyedits them?

You just may have that connection.

BTW, According to the USPS.gov website (A day late and a dollar short), you should gettting a hand delivery from your postal person today.

I can just see you sailing off with your canopy determined not to let it get away! The second week we did the market here in Prescott Valley a dust devil picked up our canopy and thrw it at least three spaces down the row. One trick folks here use is to fill some of those 5gal plastic buckets with dirt or rock and use them as anchors.
As far as phuemonia is concerned I recently found out at the VA that they now have a vacine for that. They reserve it for folks over 65, but that's just the VA policy. I'm just sorry I didn't learn this sooner.

Mouseman and Heather are at our place and having fun. Did dinner at a Tai Place and checked out the art galleries downtown. We're all having a ball.
They have a really nice classic aluminum R.V. They wish that Ranger could have driven by, but he says maybe they can see him and Rita on their return trip.

We're going to hang out tomorrow, Tuesday, too, before they head toward Cakes & Lynn's on the way. Say's he's looking forward to seeing Stacy on the east coast. I said to give him my love if you see him.

Heads up to Cakes. They are on the road.

Cakes, Mouseman and I talked about doing a book also. This could be happening. Like you said.

Cakes, Thanks for letting me know that you received the "Priority Mail®" envelope. Just proves once again that the hippies know what's up when others don't.

    The Government surely doesn't:

Ranger and Cakes. you are the hosts of this Forum. Not me.
Sooooo. Drive it. Ranger, you signed up- for this! SO, Host IT. Be there everyday. Dude, You are the responsible Hostest and host, here. SO!??

Why am I the center here? — Send me an e-mail and explain it all to me. It ain't my deal.
Yet I'm all alone in keeping it rolling.

Cakes, Ranger, What's that all abooot? (Canadian pronunciation)

But really, Cakes and Ranger should be coordinating everything here, by calling each other in advance, or by e-mailing other in order to host the others in our family. You know. Making it happen. For the rest of US.

I am here, I am always here..lol.. I try to keep it rolling along as best I can. I really dont like to jump in on someone elses convo when they are addressing someone other then myself, unless it's projected to everyone.

This forum is for Everyone of us and we all need to keep it alive. I know ppl must get tired of my sur-realistic jabberings all the time. You must realize Kenny Dear, I have been here 6 yrs jabbering with months at a time of no one else posting.

I am thrilled to the core that you are here to help with keeping the light burning for our Family. If everyone took the incentive to post more often then the ones that do post would have more to say :)

Your energy sparks the imagaination and helps the creative juices flow. I'm dancing as fast as I can. We all need to get out on the floor and dance.

I'm dancing as fast as I can too.

What I want to do is to have Ranger HAVE TO POST three time a day. And Each time that he misses a posting in each day, he then owes you $20. That would be cute.

Seven days a week times 3 is 21. That, times $20 equals $420.00. Let's challenge him! Hey, $420.00. How many weeks in a month?

Is that payable in the new O'bomba Bucks?
Kenny, the job description as I recall was 'moderator' not 'host', they are two diff roles. I jump in as often as I can think of something revelent to add. I'm not the poet or songster that you seem to be. I do function as a family historian and tracker somewhat. So just keep talkin' and drive hippie! lol

lol.. I seem to remember hearing that before.

I was gonna say that mods n hosts are different and have diferent roles. Mods are in place to keep out the rift raft but in our case we like to keep the rift raft in.. :).. we keep spam out of the forums and kinda act as bouncers if someone disrespects others. We are also referees at times and we try to help others find their way aeound.

A host throws a party and has to clean up afterwards;) It's like opening a bar where everyone hangs out, the beer tender is the host and supplies the beer but the ppl at the bar are the entertainment.

For others who don't know the joke. the line is:
    Shut up and drive, hippie!
And the line is a Ranger original.

That's what "So just keep talkin' and drive hippie! LOL." is all about.

Notice: This story is copyrighted. 1978©.
Picture, cold grey first dim light of day in an old 62 Chevy long van, North bound in the middle of the Golden Gate Bridge. We're on our way to the Sausalito Flea Market. The Dawn Patrol. I'm driving, way coffeed up, and been awake for an hour and a half. Pooh is in the passenger seat with a hot mug of coffee warming her hands and Ranger is sitting right behind her and trying to open his eyes by drinking his hot coffee. Frerra had poured Ranger out of bed at the very last minute this one time and had led him to the van.

We'd driven half way across S.F. and are on the bridge, and of course I'm talking with Pooh and to everybody and Ranger in his state had had enough.

"Shut up and drive, hippie." Was the gruff unawake directive. The rest of the ride was silent. LOL

Adrian had waited for years to use that line on me and we finally ran into each other last year where he finally got to use the line on me. Like father like son. LOL Now-a-days I get to get hit with two generations of, "Shut up and drive, hippie."
    It's pretty funny.

'moderator' moderator??? You never use to be moderate. What happened? Ya must be gitten' out of practice. LOL

    So, where is Mouseman???
