Hey Bill,

Welcome back to the old stomping grounds. My vision of this forum place is like, as if we were all sitting back in the same old places, (houses) and we never really left, and we're all just hanging out together shooting the breeze. Except maybe we've grown a little. (spiritually, mentally, and in wisdom. maybe).

Of course that's just me. I've always had this leisure backdrop thing going on in my mental and emotional lifestyle. Life's one big vacation, especially in the worst of times.

Yeah, it's kind of staggering to read back through and find out who's gone. I just read that Ga Ga was gone. You know, there's a guy that I'd have liked to see again and just hang with, and talk about whatever with. Just easy breezy conversation and being with him. Mellow memories... And Sag. Johny who I did the G.D.I. with. Now there was a wound-up, can do, fun spirit. Go Johny go.

Yeah, Maybe their leaving should make us, all, want to get tighter. After all, we did call our selves a family. It should gives us all some to reflect on. "Being". "Us all".
(Not life, or death.)

My eye thing. What a surprise out of nowhere that was. Slowly going blind out of nowhere. Inside of the back of your eye there is the surface that the light hits, (where you see), then there is a thin blood vessel layer, and then there's the structural outside white eye ball part. The cancer was in the blood vessel layer. That growth pushed seeing surface up closer to the lense making everything go out of focus. Blur.

The odds of getting this cancer are 6 out of a 1,000,000 for blond, blue eyed, light skinned people like me. 3 out of a 1,000,000 for the general population.
I had doctors telling me that I should of played the lotto, instead.

The cure for the cancer was simple. Cut the eye out.

The alternative procedure was very complex but had an 85 to 90 percent success rate. I like depth perception. Whatever I have left.
This involved a measured amount of radioactive Iodine 25 and a custom made gold containment that was shaped like the tumor was shaped. The side of the containment that was to go against the tumor was not gold. They spun my eye ball around backwards and stitched the containment to the outside back of my eye for 3 day and then did the same to remove it.

It's been one year. They don't see any further growth. That it their measure of success in this type of cancer, no growth.

I'm a happy person now. I was a happy person before. It's all the same to me. You don't have to believe in anything, But I do. It's all real. All.

I'm praying and hoping for Zev. He's on. Zev you're really "on", my bro. We got the best faith connects going on for you. Just show up. The rest is covered.

There's always hope at the end of the tunnel. And plenty of it. After all, hope springs eternal. Pandora's box had hope in it. For goodness sake. Just believe.

THANKS FOR THE GOOD THOUGHTS. I know they have helped focus my energy. While the side effects of the treatment are taking their toll. I believe my problem is gone. The only thing I may not survive is the "walletectomy". Plus, my sugar is so far down that i may write a book and call it "Cure your Diabetes with cancer". Think it will sell? Make it into a movie?

Bill you can take all the steps that you think protect you and still succumb to envronmental and/or genetic problems. While I believe my problem came from my one time nicotine addiction, it did not manifest itself until after I had stopped buying smokes and smoked sporadically, if at all, for two years.

I hope we all stay as healthy as possible because as long as you all are around Good Earth and the thought of its eventual reformation (the likelihood of which I will not specuklate) remains alive. So long as it remains alive I am still alive and young.

 

Actually the book title is brilliant.
And timely.

Good Morning Family,
It's been awhile since I have posted. Last I remember was my house was falling in. We got the insurance check and called our neighbor who has a roofing comp.. well we waited and waited but they never gave us a bid. Hubby decided to do it himself.. good grief.. Surprizing enuff, when the shingles hit the ground ppl (men) started showing up and climbling on the roof and got er done. YEAH!!

The inside was a MESS!!! They had to scrape the old accustics off the ceiling.. now mind you I have A HUGE KITCHEN and that shit gets everywhere, leaving an inch of white dust covering Everything in the house and I mean everything. I am still moping up white dust.. it looked like a coke lab explosion.

They got the sheetrock up and tape bedded and texured and then came the painting. Did I mention we have 10 ft ceilings?? well. we ran out of paint went back to wallyworld to get some (big mistake) gave um the color plate' and came back and started painting. They get half way done n I goes in to check out the progress and I see two different colors on the walls, what!?! OK what's up with this guys, I ask.. what? is their reply.. what, what.. look look at the walls I says. They look n say.. well when it drys it will blend in.. Really!!

When the paint dried, it looked like a herd bufflos had fallen in 3 different colors of paint and ran through my kitchen!! I was flabbergasted.. dumbstruck.. tears whelling up in my eyes.. wondering what it was either I did or my ancesters had done to bring such Karma to my home. All I could do was point and look up at hubby pitifully. He made no sound, he waited for the shit to hit, ready to duck at my slighest move, knowing that it was not going to pass inspection, but really hoping I wouldnt notice.. really?!?

After a moment of deathly silence, he says.. Get in the truck.. well when hub says git in the truck, you will see my ass truck bound.. in the truck I gets and off we go to Lowes.. a 35 ml drive but off we go. We get the paint and make it back home after a quick stop at the Chinese Buffet and Hub and Pap get ta paitin' and lo' n behold the kitchen was finished, perfecto, magnifiet .. well the had part for me had just begun.

You know them Bufflos I mention eariler, well they were back and had white dust, paint, roofen tar and some stuff I didnt reconise ( and was afraid to ask) strone all through the house, deck and a trail leading off behind the Camilia bushes.

I was a nervouse wreck. There was crap hell west n crocked. I started spraying and wiping, sweeping and moping like my hair was on fire. I'm pretty sure that it was cuz the sparks were flyin'.

I make my way over to the big windows in the kitchen n see huuby standing there holdin' up the side of the pickup and 5 other men also stading around holdin a cold one.

It sturck me.. here he was with a whole crew of men to help him and I was in singulary motion with none but the spiders who had just recently lost there homes, to help me. I whined, revieling my displeasure only to hear in retort.. that, that was my job. Job I think.. dont you get paid when you have a job?? Knowing full well that them men of the roof was gettin' paid. Phoey!! n then one calls out.. go get Chrystal to help you. Chrystal is my daughter in law who is 8 months pregnant.. I will not repete my reply to him. Back to spraying and wiping.

I managed to get the first layer remove and sat down for a little smokie. It settled my nervers down and I felt better. So what if there had been 6 men trapesing through my house for 2 weeks, so what if it was a mess. The roof was on, the back bedroom was beautiful, the hallway was fixed and my lovely kitchen was restored.

What did it matter that there was white dust covering everything, big deal if there was paint and bedding mud on the floors. It would get done, it would just take doing the work. Well, I'm still working on it.. bout got licked.. I just pick a project for the day and do it. I got the kitchen done, the back bedroom all set up and ready, the living room is an everyday thing.. so many kids running in n out, my office is done. So all n all things are not as bad as they seemed.

If you take in consideration that all this was taking place at the start of canning season you can understand my delima. So, between cleaning and canning I am a busy beaver But. Since we have had no rain untill this week, most all of our crops burnt up so there aint much to can. I was able to get a few gallons of Sqwash and Orka breaded and frozen, maybe 5 gallons of peas, a gallon of canned tomatoes and a galon of tomatoe sauce. I didnt have enough Jalapenos to make very much salsa, which is my specialty. I was kinda thankfull that the gardens didnt come in fullforce. I think I would have lost it if it did.

I hope to have a little more time now.. BTW.. My grandkids are on my pc a lot and in fb. It might not always be me if you see me on. If you see me and text me n I dont answer it's not me it's the gtandkids.

I have you both in my prayers. I am thankfull that there is a cure for the cancer you have. I am still praying they find one for my sister. We go back to Houston on the 18th for a re-evaulation. Last time it had grown.. we are hoping for better results this time.

Zev, I'm happy for you bro! Being free of cancer is a major breakthrough! I had a small brush with skin cancer several years ago and it to a few surgeries to get rid of it.

Glad to hear that GAGA (aka "Coo-Ga") is still kicking around. GaGa and I have to go to the Recycling Center on Haight Street to crush some bottles in those blue 55 gallon oil barrels, 'cause Leo Ron is coming by in the Bread Truck to pick 'em up later on.

I remember the Good Earth Commune from my days at the Third Eye commune. It seems that there was a couple who went the names Blue and Green, who may or may not have been living at Good Earth. But, I do remember visiting the house a few times. Most of my days in the Haight were spent under the influence of various wonderful and powerful hallucinogens, but I did function as part of the team managing the Tobacconist Tobacco Shop at the corner of Haight and Masonic, across the street from the Drogstore Cafe, just a couple of doors down from The Phoenix. Anyone out there remember the Third Eye Bookstore or the tobacco store? We used to display and sell some of Pan's pipes.
