As I am not a technical Being I will let you that are take the wheel. A laptop would be ideal as far as portability and if it can be hookedup to a battery, cool..

    Hey Cakes. Hey Everybody.
    NEWSFLASH

I just got an e-mail (Tuesday, 4:00 p.m.) from Ranger. Rita and he got a van. Looks Sweet. He said, "Hurray!" I'm thrilled for them both. So, very cool.

YeeHawww!! Now On With The Show..They got a ride, so we can continue with the plans for the PC/laptop and they will be all set to rodeo.. a laptop would be ideal bc of portability.. with the converter thingy, which I am certain will manifest also. Keep pumping them vibes in n no telling what we can do when we set our minds to it.

And the Love keeps on keepin on. When we get Ranger squared away, we can focus on the next project.. which will most likely be the Reunion since it's pretty close. Maybe a Food Fund would be good. Whatever y'all decide is fine with me.

I'm thankfull that Ranger got his Van. I know that will improve their lives and open new windows to pass through.

    Blessings

Yeah. I have the impression the he didn't have the time to get on here and read. He didn't say anything about it in his e-mail to me. He always says that he has limited time on the library computer. So…

    What Cakes said…

So, we're all still holding our breath and waiting for him to show up here and to say something here.

I feel like we should all just stay on line and yell, "Surprise!" when he finally does come on-line.

    Hey there Family and friends.
No, I haven't fallen off the planet although sometimes I think that might be a good option. I did go to Nashville last weekend to see my younger son, Brendan, get married.
OK, so I had an idea that I threw out there and asked for feed back. It's been coming around and it's exciting. I need to make one thing clear: I'm not throwing a reunion. We can't afford that anymore: the "Woodpecker" daze are over. I do long to see my GE Family and friends before we all die. The Oregon Country Fair is an annual happening that reflects many of the beliefs of our GE life and seems to be an opportunity for us to focus on a time when we might see each other. In previous years Heather & I have made & sold kettle corn at the Fair (after I "retired" my security position) however when you work at the Fair (vending, which has been an important part of our annual income) you don't get to see the Fair. Now we have decided to do the campground thing that some of our neighbors do: charge a fee, $45 per person, to camp for the 3 day fair. This will be an important part of our annual income. All the neighbors campgrounds fill up so it should be no problem for us to do the same. Of course the Fair costs some money too, but it is still quite cheap compared to any music event you might attend and FAR superior. I long to touch skin with all of you and I thought that this might be some kind of opportunity. I also hope that the fellow writing the book about the Haight might come & get some of the real stories. My son, Justin, who is still in collage just did a presentation about communes recently. In effect he was defending the lifestyle because his class had just been given a book to read about communal life which painted a very negative view. Of course, it was written by some one who never lived in one: jesus, those fuckin' people are so obsessed with the "free love" (sex) that they didn't get any of, and will probably never understand. So, of course they try to print a bad history that needs to have a more correct version. Nobody knows like we do; good & bad. Anyway, do I still have any takers? I'll do my best to make you old fuckers comfortable.
    MUCH LOVE<

    Hey Mouseman,
Having hosted many a get together here and footing the bill for yrs.. I know that it is a hardship to furnish everything for everybody. That's why I suggested that we do the fund thing, to cover expences for the reunion.

I dont think anyone expexted you to handle the cost yourself brother. Maybe for this one everyone can pass the hat for eats and drinks for at least one Family meal a day.

Like when ya are on house, ya gotta collect the $/stamps to make supper :)

I believe that everything will work out just fine and that Love will fill the air.

    Blessings

Yeah, we got a one ton Ford van yesterday! It'll only eat up two months SS checks before it's paid off, but it runs great.

Now I should be able to get in here more often and we should be able to make it to the reunion if it comes off.
A laptop would be great folks! I read back over the last month or so yesterday and was over wealmed! Then I ran out of time...duh...
I love you all. This is one great family! Ranger

    Surprise ! Ranger.

Thanks for putting the picture on-line for everyone to see. Looks Sweet.
    He's back!

Mouseman. Brother. A cool preemptive. Good move. Thanks for clarifying everything. Very Real. I can just imagine the type of burden that it might lead to. You are very wise.

If I can break away to come, I will certainly bring the appropriate funds ($45 each, plus fare costs, etc.) and extra cookie dough for others to munch, etc. (i.e. try to cover some others, as well.) Perhaps we should set a "Reunion" at some other location. Beach or Hot Springs. And try to view your place a fee campground. (With Family included as the perk). A nice view to hold.
    He's back!

Congrats Ranger on the van! Glad you folks are mobile again! R U thinking about getting a second battery for a little inverter to maybe run a bit of High Voltage for a lap top? Post an address so that we can contact you if that works.

Hey Mouse sounds like you and Heather have a GREAT ability for the RETIREMENT Income!!

If you can post how to sign up for a spot and how to pay. Also how big will the spots be? Any trees around? Will you take advance rexervations?

Just wanting to make sure that all bases are covered?

I would double check on that on, first.
I remember asking a postal worker about General Delivery, years ago, and they told me that it no longer exists. Call your post office first. That's all that I'm saying. I really don't know for certain.

    Hi Cakes,
    and everybody!

I just got a call from Ranger. Saturday, April 3, 2010, 5:00 p.m. With the new van, they are back working the flea market. First time in a month and a half. Some kind of income. Finally.

He is thrilled about the prospect of a laptop, and thanks everyone. He doesn’t have a good mailing address, so he asked if we could use my street address. Cool.

    Full details to follow.

Hey Family, Here’s the official Ranger laptop fund information.

Ranger says that he will also post, here, confirming (What Kenny said…) when he gets to the library computer. Maybe Mon. or Tues.

We are using my mailing address. He has some kind of maximum income ceiling limit with his state health insurance and his Soc Sec. Poverty level stuff. He wanted to have checks made out to me, but I have had eye cancer and have state health insurance and have the same type of Poverty level reporting issues. I don’t want to go over the limit in a bank account. So, that’s a no go. So, we came up with a work-around for receiving funds at my address.

My girlfriend runs her own graphic design business. She has no issues. She’s met Ranger. She’s volunteered to be the fund person and Ranger talked it all out with her on the phone.

She can cash any checks and clear them, and then pull out cash and deposit the total as cash, right into his account. (He’s mailing us some deposit slips. Or if he chooses to he can drive and meet us and be handed the total in cash. Or we drive to him with cash. Or maybe meet half way. (Options here.)

So, here’s what Ranger and Mary Jo have worked out.

If anyone wants to send a check, then please make your check out to the top line here.
All four lines are the total mailing address.

Important: Her first name is Mary Jo. Jo IS NOT a middle name. Please include Jo in the name. It is a business account, by that name. Thanks.

    Mary Jo Scibetta Design
    7900 E. Princess Dr.
    Suite 2283
    Scottsdale, Az. 85255-5868

It is always advisable to fold a check or cash in a piece of paper so that it can’t be seen through the envelope. Smart. If you want to jot your e-mail address on the paper, we can e-mail to you as soon as your mail is received, just to let you know that it arrived here safely. We will send (cc) a note to Ranger also. If Cakes and Ranger want to post a running total here they can. He’ll know the total. Not my decision to make.

We’ll get him the lump sum when it's all cleared the bank and as soon as we all know that everyone who wanted to, has tossed into the hat. Family, if anyone has committed, but things are tough all of a sudden and you find that you just can’t donate, please P.M. me and I’ll donate that number in your name. Tell me the number, Okay? Thanks in advance for letting me know. Love Ya.

Let’s make it happen. Cakes…once again, it's all your fault. Hee Hee.

    Scorpio Kenny
