    Hey Cheryl,

Thanks for the welcome. And smiles to you. Glad that you remember me. It was long ago. A lot was a blur. I can totally remember you. Although we didn’t hang together much and get to know each other tight, I remember a cool sharp woman with a fast sharp spirit. You impressed me, for sure. A solid person, for real. Yeah, Cheryl. I hope that your life is cruising.

All is Maya, but of course. Kenny

    ww,

Wow, cool. I was a lighting director, too. Did a lot of theater and some rock. I don’t think that we need to load up the gear yet, until we all find out what Mouseman is planning. Hummm, I wonder.

I know some great video camera men, myself, and one is a dynamite editor, and he owes me. They would love the gig idea, but like everybody they need to pay their rent. Ya know, they underwrote all of Wood Stock by running an ad in the newspaper looking for a backer. Just one. That’s all it took. Paid talent and paid crew. You like pay, right? We all can’t just take off and leave our rent unpaid. So, its all doable, but the key would be good planning. Fortunately, I’m an operations director. I do flawless. So, its all doable.

I was thinking busses and tractor trailers. Why not go all the way?

If there is interest, we could take it all to a different level, maybe on a different forum space. Cool?

Mouseman eeeee! … How the heck are ya?

What FUN to hear from you. I’m soo glad to finally be aboard. Beats the heck out of doing all of that swimming in the freezing cold ocean. Thank you, for all of that rowing.

So good to … (alt + ; = …) feel you! Too. (Hee Hee) How’s yer life going? Floating nicely, I hope.

Man you our so right on in what you said up above. “…what others can only fantasize!” How real is that, man? And Cakes said something about freedom. How totally true. Yeah, we did it. “We did it our way.” And for real.

“Mouseman is working on a plan!”

    I shudder!
This could mean anything! A very large flying saucer. A real time machine. The entire Oregon Country Fair placed on a huge magic carpet and traveling to different cities around the world. (Am I close?) This could get dangerous, even.

My mind reels. Hey guys, this is Mouseman we’re talking about here. That guy with the big grin and the magic twinkle in his eyes. That Mouseman.

I’m having too much fun here. Hey Brother, I’m loving hearing from you. Really. However, I did, just now, write down "Bait" on the shopping list, so that tomorrow I can be waiting with baited breath. “Mouseman is working on a plan!” Whoa!

I can’t wait! Love ya, Kenny

    :peace:

I still have tons of contacts from my GoodStock days.. I have them in my journal. I have Big Brother n THC, Starship and about 50 other old rockers. FORGETABOUT 'hiring' any of them bc they are corperate and want 40,000 plus accomdations that the queen mother would drool over. Totally outragous bs, right down to what kind of toilet paper they used.

I was flabbergasted ( and that aint no EZ task to perforrm on me) by the demands they made. I couldnt believe they were the same ppl that started out in the park and gave freely and lovingly to their brothers and sisters.

But if ya got somethin on em ', they may be gently persuaded ;) ;)

I know that some of us GEers were tite with several of the bands in the area, there must be a favor or three that are owed.. Two Flat Bed Trailers pulled side by side makes for a good stage, but the above mentioned bands will not play on them.

I'm not saying that it would be impossible, just sayin'. I found that the cover bands and indy groups were more eager to work with you. Corporate Bands are just to eleite to come down off their high horses and back down to their roots. I was extreamly dissapointed by their attitudes and lack of Spirit. But someone else may have better luck then I did. I know it was the GateKeepers/Agents that ruin what it is all about anyway.. they get rich but the bands get little and they ppl get ripped off.

What were we talking about again... Havin a Hoedown right?? I'm in.. I can hoe and get down and when I say hoe I'm talkin' a garden hoe and gettin down to pick out the weeds.. :D

    Dear
    Lovins
    cakes,

Yeah, I know what ya mean about that. Most bands want a fortune, however, most bands are either dead or nonexistent nowadays. But if ya just want to jam n’ dance to the old tunes, Screaming Loud, I’ve got everything imaginable loaded on my computer. Grab a board and a good P.A. set-up and a generator and I could have my own out door concert. (That's one of my dream plans. Anyway.) All of the young Deadheads would show up.

I love it that the vibe is somehow shifting from “The 4thWars” an Un re AL lit tea TV show into Rock Concert Central. How did that happen? I guess that its all kinda Hippie Automatic. I guess that it’s to be expected. Okay then, televised faux rock concert reality with 4thWars. We could do that. Hey, I’m up for anything. Anything FUN that is.

Its funny that you should mention Big Brother and The Holding Company. They’re one of the few bands that are still going and they do play clubs and smaller venues. Their web site is bbhc.com and they have a Tour Date web page. Their booking guy has his phone number on the bottom of the page.

I just now checked the web site and James Gurley died. December 20, 2009. He was 70. Bummer. I shot the breeze with him at a gig one time. Nice guy. Heart.

"Well I came upon a child of god; he was walking along the road, and I asked him "where are you goin'....."
OK Family, we all seem to feel that something's in the air again, we all want to see each other at some point, we're all a bit older than we used to be so we gotta get with it: here's the basis of my idea: The Oregon Country Fair is the best party in the world bar none; it's the country's oldest hippie fair; since 1969 (Oregoncountryfair.org.) This year The Fair is on July 9/10/11 (Fri., Sat., Sun), so that gives us enough time to make plans if we want to. I have been involved with the Fair (security Supervisor) for 35 years, now I'm retired but I still train the security crew. Anyway, Heather & I have a 5 acre place immediately next to the 425 acre Country Fair property. This year we have decided to do what a bunch of our neighbors do (and we have meticulously avoided until now), which is to open our property for camping during the fair. There is no lodging anywhere nearby so the 50,000 folks who come to this thing every year (from around the world) need a place to camp; this results in ancillary parties at the neighboring properties and the whole area is ALIVE! This just might be the situation to facilitate our desires?!? Yea, it would be "camping", and I know that is a tough word for some of us any more, but if you have a camper or RV or tents and stuff; we got the place to put em' (within limits). (Our ginger bread house is tiny (618 sq ft) so we can't do anything there.) Some of you folks have been to the Fair so you know what I'm talking about.
Maybe the guy who's writing the book about the "Haight" would want to come and interview "the genuine Items"?!? So, think about it. Heather & I will need to take reservations to plan properly; remember, she & I have decided to do this campground thing anyway, so I'd love it to be Family. Who knows, it could be an annual affair. I know you'll love it, and I really want us to get together one way or another. Many of you made it to, or heard about the reunions at "Woodpecker"; that was magic, but that place is history (whine, whine). The only thing Heather & I ask is that when the parties over; you go home; we relish our solitude. So, let's hear some feed back!!!

    I'd go.

Been there one time, years ago. Taurus Debbie did Tie-dyes from the late 1979 on. I went and helped her and slept in her booth on the creek one week end, a long long time ago. Par-TEE. At night it was like being in fairyland. A dreamy romantic adventure. Splendid.

Yeah. I could try that again.

Mouseman, what, no huge flying saucer? And how did I guess the Oregon Country Fair? (Oregoncountryfair.org)

Can we start one of our owe and put it on one gigantic flying carpet? Pretty Please? Come'on Mouseman. Please?

    Cakes,

    The Plot Thickens mawwhaahaaa.

    Love that.
I use to thicken Plots with arrowroot, but nowadays I mainly use cornstarch and a little flour.

    mawwhaahaaa.

Its it a plot or a conspiracy?

Well now... The 40 x 40 towers on a 6 foot high scaf stage hmmm self lifting trussing and Lights and sound. HMMM sounds like a concert rather than a tv show BUT that was how it started to begin with!! A big concert that became the reality!!!

Kenny you were an L.D. I was a PSM and did a lot of LD work too. Built the Moon River theatre in Branson as my closing act for Andy Williams before I started up CWP INC which is now part of CHAOS Productions.

As you state tho there are some things and some folks who just need to be paid but then again there are a lot of us with the CHOPS to make a gig happen and if you can get the Trucking paid (HELL we know truckers too) I bet anything can happen. Just cover expenses.... there are ways to do that too maybe

As far as the GOODSTOCK thang Cakes you remember how went down. Was a tad dissapointed with Larry but it all good. I still have one of my WV Production Company buddies who still give me a bit of a jab when we talk about that one!!!! lol This is different you are talking with people from the flow here!!

So the opening of the Series is a live concert on Mouse and Heathers place and from there fade in to the new reality show. lol But Mouse has the plan going and I am sure JUST LIKE THIS site. IF HE DECIDES TO MAKE IT HAPPEN WE WILL COME!!!

Kenny ever work with Movinglights? We became what Lighting Demsions(sp) called the Switzerland of Moving Lights as we worked with everyone from LSD (Light and sound Design)/ Morpheus The old Deads Moving Light company and also Vari* lights Showco yada, yada. By any chance you know Marc Brickman? Candace Brightman? This could happen!

ALSO Sag Darryl is a Stage Carpenter these Days too!! along with still being the man of hides that he is. SO right here we have A Stage/Production Manager, LD, and Head Carpenter already here. I still have connects with what used to be Stage Rigging (Rockys, NOT LONG hair Rocky Stage Motor Rockey for rigging. Hell I actually think John Wiseman owes me a favor!! Maybe some Agrecco gennys to clear an old debt Hmmmm.....and Mouse as the Producer! SHEET this maybe is a cannot miss Production!! Call HBO or Showtime! Heck produce it by Good Earth and then market it. OR just do it for the love of a great time!!! Better go look at that ole BlueBird at the Church up the road!

    peace and love

Count me in on the Good Earth Country Faire get-together at Mouseman and Heather's. Mouse can you get any passes to the Faire?

Chriswah - We can put a band together. I can sing, play harp and a little guitar (remember we used to jam at your place on the River Rd - Time won't let me?). I'm stoked. Let me know if I can help in any way.

Hey, I can help too with entertainment.. I Jiggle Fat.. It's kinda like Juggling but different :smilielol5:

I can sing too, not very well but after a few fat ones and a glass or two of wine, no one will notice :p Along with Spuds's boys band n Spud singing, Zev is an entertainer, musician and Comic Relief. he actually gets paid to have fun.. cool huh.

I know there's a lot of us that are seceretly talented and just need some friendly persuassion to cut loose. Of course it will have to be on tape for prosperity.

We could do a mock 4th O July reinaction with electric scooters instead of wheelchairs so we dont end up in wheelchairs ;)

    So many possibilities.

    Blessings

Mouseman If I can reserve a spot for Sheila and Myself I would like to do so! My last fair was when we were working the fair as the security for the Dead and we were in the yurt next to the stage. That was way back during the Homegrown Reforestation days. I think it was year 19 of the fair?? We might be in a bus! Maybe we can get Brads RV fixed by then??
