Been off for over a month and just got back on today. I'm sorry Ranger's gone----one of the originals for sure. It's obvious how much you-all cared for him.

(he stayed right with me with encouragement and laudatory comments when I was writing a story.) --------Joel-

 

I'm HOME,

Sorry, I was gone a little longer than expected.

Ranger went on ahead to arrange our lodging to make sure there's enough room at the Inn. We had spoken a few days before he left. He's still Ranger, make no mistake about that, and he ain't up there playin' no harp either, unless it is with Stevie Ray.

He's straddlin' his Hog standin' in front of Love Burgers on Haight St., gettin' ready to ride the skies of the netherworlds, till we all ride together again.

Ranger is on the next adventure as he lives out his Book Of Life, a never ending story of events that take place eternally as his Spirit Rides into his destiny and beyond the Golden Circle.

Always and forever he will be our Brother, loved and missed, never forgotten and his name will be spoken with love and respect.

 

Ha, I actually hear crickets in here.. haahahaha..

 

wow, Mama comes home and no one is here to help her with her things. Maybe I'm at the wrong place.. I know I had to change my name, but you should have recognized me at a glance

Yes, I'm alive, altho it was touch n go for a while. Two Heart Stents and a complete turn around. in my lifestyle.

I was having up to 20 heart attacks a day, went in Christmas morning and had stents put in on the 29th Dec.

So I am alive for now, so, let's PARTY arty:

thanks TY, good to 'be' around. I hope you've prospered since we last spoke, seem you had had a lot of heartbrokenness around the time I left. I pray that has turned around and that the gods have found favor with you

hi Mary.. I think most people remember the name 'Nailcakes'.. Good to hear from you & I hope you're getting better.. I chatted with Rita on fb last night & I think she was coming into HF..

 

I think Rita spooked some people in the chat room yesterday when she signed on as Ranger. I hope she wasn't made to feel unwelcome.

 

I don't think she ever had her own username.. she always used Ranger's as she didn't post very often.. I hope she'll come back..

Rita does have her own ID, in hip.. she didn't come into hip on a regular basis, she'd usually use Ranger ID when she did

I am unable to go to her, due to my own health issues.

She is missing Ranger real bad right now. She is alone, with her cats. She sure could use some cheering up

She fell trying to get out of bed yesterday. It took her a while to get up, you know she just had a stroke last year,

I've suggested that she apply for home health care. They'll come in 5 days a week and clean n cook a meal. She's thinking about it. I hope she decides to go with that. She doesn't have a car but gets around in her little hoover craft chair thingy.

Rita lost half the household income when Ranger passed. She is struggling to make ends meet, and being she's just had a stroke, it isn't possible to get out and make some money on a regular gig. It's a daily chore to even try to get out of bed, or even want to, losing the Love Of Your Life.

Yes, Ranger was The Love of Her Life and she, his.

They met at MorningStar Ranch, twz a hippie ranch in the 60s/70s that all the cool people went to get the city out of them. Like Wheeler's but just a bit more bohemian.

The Hippie lifestyle was mostly open relationships, during The Sexual Revolution of that era and Ranger and Rita explored those venues whenever they presented themselves.

As the tides drift in and back out, so is the life of the Hippie. Ranger mossyed on back to the Haight and resumed his place with his thumb on the heartbeat of the Haight. Rita,'s path went another direction.

Until that fate filled day that A house had been built in Hip Forums call The Church Of The Good Earth, the very same people that were Church Of The Good Earth that began in City Prison in SF in 1970 in the minds of Steven Stacey, Mike Bedell , Cyril Issaic and a few others, sitting there in that jail cell trying to figure out how to save humanity Manifesting in the Haight District of SF and becoming one of the biggest and most productive commune during the Peace Movement. Well,

IT was right here in this thread that Ranger found his Lovely Rita AGAIN, AND HE FLED TO HER ARMS AS SOON AS I TOLD HIM WHERE SHE WAS ( WITH HER PERMISSION) AND THEN THE SPARKS DID FLY. sorry about the caps, I just get a little excited sometime

They have had their up's and downs but seem to stick together when times got tuff, and yes they did get tuff. But through the Love that we all mustered up for them then, we must once again open our hearts to our Sister Rita who is grieving for her lost love Ranger.
