Church of the Good Earth 1963 and Beyond

Hi Cheryl I will give Hap your number. Erika is young woman now! She was younger one when she remembers a lot of times togather. She is probally trying to help out saying do not be rude to dad. And she may even wonder stuff. Kids see it all from their eyes not ours!! They also hopefully have the ability to love both parents. I left home at the very beginning of my 17th year of life and to this day my boys are still here!!! It was way different then is so so many ways. My boys r men now and still are within 10 miles of us. Tiller is across the street and just had our first grandchild a girl. We could never get rid of them!!!!!!!!!! WE TRIED TOO lol. It is hard tho C to raise the kids especially with splits etc. Man when we lost Beenie (Serene) after Greg died, Sheila went into a depression for a while. Serene was her Daughter so to speak as she was Beenies mom for like 2 years before that. Greg always left Serene with Sheila when we were on runs where the Kids could not come. I know Serene actualy met almost everyone as we also took our kids ALMOST everwhere. When Pebbles showed up at the River when we were spreading the ashes Beenie did not even know her. I always wonder how she did growing up as we heard many storys. Erika has you and knows Dad so she may always be wanting to make it work! One thing I sorta regret is we did not take enough pitures to answer all my kids questions...Heck we did not keep a camera back then!!! And loseing Serene was a huge drag.

BUT the good things....Erika has a great mom and as time goes by she will be ok as long as you always love her. I nowadays mention the best days and memorys so we all laugh vs the difficult ones (unless there is a funny ending to the difficult storys) so my Boys remember the past thinking of the fun first then the tough times second. I so so wish you both the best!!!

I still never see any mention of Candy when she was at the Good Earth houses and that was when she got really togather, was actually healthy in body and even in mind, and she delivered Cody there. At least it seemed that way when I visited for VERY SHORT times. There are TONS of sad things too and we cannot change those things. Sometimes relations were strained for stupid silly reasons and sometimes realations were strained by UGLY stuff. For all of us who made it to now we have become aged ones from as old as the mid to late 60s all the way down to the early 50s. I hope we have gained at least some wisdom as we aged and can help each other if the oppertunity arises. Life ain't easy!! But I have found that loving is real easy!!!!

Daryl I bet we did pass each other at a Comdex or a Nam Convention....wild!!! Some Booths have over 1 million put into them! I am going back to Molokai hopefully in a couple of weeks. When I go back over I will pick up my hides and get one to you. A medicine bag from a BROTHER will go a long way to keep me always able to focus!!!! And a tote bad will be awful handy and a great way to pass the message of your work! FYI DH I have sold my Company (CWProductions) the CW standed for my name lol, to my brother and it is now part of CHAOS LIGHTING and Production. Give me your info in an IM and I will tell them to request you when the local carps work with them on the LV stuff if you want. You can always say no! And you can see what I was doing...well sorta lol... for a long time!!

Hey what it is G.E.? I am finally on here.. Thanks Nailcakes for helping me to get set up. Those of you who knew me then knew me as Shills. I went to S.F. in 1971 with Count to visit Breeze and we lived at the Hole in the Wall down in the basement at first. Then we ran the junkies out at the Underhouse & took over with Jimmy & Whitney. Later on Gloria & Nailcakes move in, then Ellen & Diane moved in. We did alot of security for the commune but were considered rowdies- but when anyone had trouble they came to us! It is so cool to read these posts, really brings back the memories. Reading back over some of the stories brings more to my mind which I will share soon. Does anyone know anything about Kid or Breeze? I posted some pictures on the Good Earth Wall on facebook. Looking for more.

Guess you heard about Breeze, Kid is still suckin' air in Florida; kinda just hangin' on, but still above ground.
I fondly remember when you & I put together that ultra fine scarecrow at AV; ""Armed Love" was the name we gave him; he had an old rusty winchester in one hand and a gods eye in the other. We brushed out some bailing twine for his hair, gave him a straw hat and a pipe. He wore a Canadian Naval officers jacket, and when we were done you magicly pulled a fatty out of his pocket and we celebrated! Ah memories!

Hey y'all, I figured out an eazy way to post our seperate stores in the emporium. All neat and clean.

Go To Your Profile.. Click On Your Album.. In The Upper Left Hand Corner, You Will See "NEW ALBUM".. Click on that.. Then Upload Your Pix In Your New Album. Put the discription and details in. Then Post The Intro And URL (the http://www. thing) like I did in the GE Emporium.. check it out.. so simple. You will find the URL in your address bar at the top of the page when you are IN Your New Album. Copy it down and post it like I did in the Emporium. I think this will work out better then posting all the items in the store itself, less confussion. Enjoy

I'm giving everybody the line, but it's no story, busy- busy - busy. Meeting and conferences and presentations are starting to slow down with the coming holidays'. Shills a Keg Of Dynomite, well, yes indeed he were dat, a stand up sob who when had your back you knew your back was covered, for sure. I lived with dat dar philly bunch and I knew no better class of ppl. Loyal to the death. A rowdy lot were we, yes, but bigger hearts you'll find nowhere.

I dont remember Whitney being as rowdy as the rest,even tho he was Underhouse, he was more laid back. I remember his Irish Setter, Kelly, he died of cirroses of the liver, too much beer I suppose. The last time I saw Whitney and Gloria was at a beach in SF someplace and they were sitting on a blanket with their little baby girl. That was in 74ish. The memories keep flooding in.

I think I heard about Breeze they told me that he OD'd And Stacey when you talk about Family there is a heavy Kharma thing about that....Because I spent most of the 60's in prison and the beginning of the 70's until I figured out to get out of Philly...and I came to see Breeze...Me a rowdy philadelphia biker type going to a church commune in the Haight Ashbury...they weren't ready for me any more then I was ready for them....But I'll tell that Family mellowed me out in a couple of years.....which was a tough job seeing how the bureaucratic bullshit establishment couldn't do it for a decade...then of course I was Exiled to Oregon along with the dirty dozen, then there was Diane who stuck with me thru all those Family meetings some of which I was the main topic. along with the Under house... Then there was Emily, My daughter now that will change your life and mellow you out....Then I became an overfed longhaired sleeping gnome....

 

Right on dfwolverine....Yea I remember that scrap we had at the nitrouse oxide tank Jerry Garcia was there....Then I got really waisted on P.C.P....Diane and Cakes had to carry me to the car and took me back to the haight.... It was a wild trip I felt like I was flying in a space ship especially when you go thru that tunnel and across the Golden Gate....
