I stand corrected sometimes my words dont make it all the way in luvi, I didnt mean to imply they 'turned' Rainbow, but were intertwined, as we all are. You travel around alot to the gatherings and other places hippies gather/live and STP have been known to be at gatherings from time to time ansd at places hippies gather also. is why I say to ask you bc you are 'in touch' with many tribes.

You have come forward with a lot of info on bros n sis's as ones search for their tribes. I have had ones comment to me how you have helped them re-connect.You always come to my mind as being on top of it, which I admire in you. So, I cannot help but give you credit where it is due.

I know that we all have, both before and after SF, made other connections. However, while I can't speak for anybody else, my family is first and foremost Good Earth. It is, no matter how much time has passed and how far I am physically from my brothers and sisters, what made and makes me who I am. That is primary.

"THE GOOD EARTH CRAFTER'S EMPORIUM" is now listed and ready for occupancy!!
We have a Store Front, Family!!! It is up and ready to start accepting venors/crafters.. no permits needed no forms to fill out, no personal information needed to apply. All you need is your product, a vaild email addy and a paypal ect account and your in biznez. You will have to post you email on each picture of your product that you post, so the client can deal directly with you on cost, s/h ect. That will be your responsibilty.

It's this simple y'all.
1. Post your product with your email addy and brief description attached in The Emporium like you would post any picture in a post.
2. Check your email and your Hip Forum Private Messages.
3. Accept Payment
4. Ship Product

also, as ppl will, you may get questions on your product and you will need to address them. If they are spam or harrassing or no related to the product you do not have to respond and those posts will be handled by the moderator.

There will be moderators to keep the store clean of spammers and trollers. I will be one of them, I think someone else should also mod, someone who had the time and want to. I'm a super mod and can go mod anywhere but there should be someone else too, just for the store. No other duties would be requested and the mod tools would just work in the store.

Sorry to flood.. but it's important.. I dont want to hog anything up I want this to be a communal effort. That said, I'm asking for help with the introduction to the store. What do you think it should say. You know a welcoming and discription of what we do/are.. where's the writers?? Would any one want to do that for us. Remember this is our store and we represent the idealisum of hippiedom to thousands. Not that we are out to prove anything, just peddling our wares.

Any ideas??? no pressure lol..

While I basicly agree, I feel I should point out as someone who came to Good Earth from the Salmon Creek Family, tahat if one read deep into the recorded annuls of the Rainbow Family you will note the First Councils came into being as a result of the desires of many Famiies including not only the Salmon Creek faction that migrated to Washington, but also that Church of the Good Earth had representatives at those First Councils. So one might say that Rainbows are desended from Good Earth.
Just a historical footnote folks.

 

So many different tribes came together in The Haight at that time. It is hard to keep them all straight bc of the inner-action between communities.
I knew we sat at council at the first gathering of the tribes, as Rainbow. As wel as houseing for the Digger's Free Store. There were so many things GE was involved in but was not high profile about it, except in the work force.. We were all brothers and sister no matter where we came from.
I see many names of ppl from dif tribes that passed through GE, that to me is, we are all part of the whole and are welcome as brothers and sisters. We are but branches from the same tree

To Post an item go to your user's cp/your profile and upload your item's picture from your album.. be sure to attach your contact info/email so the client may contact you on an item. You can write a discription of each item to help convey it's origin. Then post it in the store like you would any photo. If you have any trouble let me know and we'll get it fixed.

I started the ball rolling with my first item in The Emporium.

Up load you pic in your album here in hf. Then look at your address bar and copy it down. go to the emporium and click on advance mode at the bottom of the reply box and click on the Yellow Box at the top of the reply box and you will see a place either to brows or type in the url to the picture you want posted in the store. Typing it in works for me..it didnt work when I tried to drag the pic or when I went to brows

Hope it works.. I'm working on getting a simpler way to post pix in the store, if it can be done.. I think it has to do with size.. my pic is too big. Be sure to resize your pics so they dont take up the whole page like mine I'm going to try n shrink the dragon soap pic.

Spud, Ranger, I'm appointing you two as Store Moderators. I cant be here 24/7.. nothing heavy, just keeping the spammers and trolls under control if there is an occation.

My reasonning on Ranger and Spud is that they have been in HF for a while now and know the rules of the forum and how it works and since no one has volenteered. That's all you would have to do. Just check in and if ya see spam or trolls you can delete them with your mod tools.

Well, anyway I am glad to see you taking action.. we all get so lazy in our comfort zone. Me, I like to shake it up and get things moving.. a movtivater am I.

I do not want to control and I have asked for help, suggestion and whatnot. This is for ALL of us. I'm just the janitor.. I dont think Ranger meant to imply that good earth started Rainbow, but rather good earth was there sitting at council with the tribes that were coming together at that time. At that time, many many ppl had come/were coming through good earth, some stayed, some just hung out a while and some were just passing through and needed a safe haven to crash and partake in a meal and good vibes.

They/we were all on our journeys, finding where we fit. Each of us on our own path to our destinies. Our likemindedness drew us together and bonded us with an understanding that we are the change.

I guess it's like brothers in war, we went through so many events in the 60s/70s, it was that we were all in it together, we had a common ground, a mutual effort. We were all part of the same thing, the same conscience level. I see the titles we tag ourself with, as your 'patch' or which branch you came from, a group within the group.

It depended on what tweeked your interest, some like to ride, some like to walk, some even like to run but we were all headed in the same directiona nd all children of the earth.

This GE store sounds like a way cool idea. I don't have a hard line product but I am wondering if a lifestyle advisory booklet (diet, supplements, etc.) would be a viable thing. Any of y'all's opinion would be greatly appreciated.

I've been out of pocket as I've been on a plane for damn near two days. In Berlin right now. Will try to k.i.t. more. My love to everyone.
