Just one guys opinion but I kind of like having all messages on one thread. That way everybody sees everything. I would also like to have all postings sent to my email. not just the ones that occur after I visit. That was the reasson I missed the start of the big blow up.

Yeah, I kind of though of that too. we are pretty thin here on this thread. Dividing our energies out to other threads could sap what little energy that we do have. It might become our downfall. Our end.

However, I do see the merits of creating whole other topic.

My biggest concern is us getting carried away and then spilling our collective guts and putting every possible thing that could make YOUR retirement fund BOOK a big hit and worth any money, go out to the public for free WITH someone other that US owning the copyrights to YOUR Stories.

However, I'm sure that I'm the only person who worries about trivial little things like that. Right Zev? LOL I'm such an ass. :sunny:

 

BTW, Yes Zev, I am starting to look into the dynamics of going to the Oregon Country Fair. Just A Maybe. No one else wants to come with me, though.

If you add more threads it may make it more difficult for those who may come and go from past. But that is just my opinion as I do not leave computers on etc. I only come every now and then as I must have proper computer to even post? But I am not any decider on this issue? Not sure what the advantages are to multiple threads.

Sag?Buffalo man!! I recieved messages that you have called the house. I had my brother and friends at CWP put your name on a "request for crew" list. I was told that since Freeman is doing so much of "CREW" bookings for almost every venue in L.V. that unless you are a Teamster, or a specilist (like a movinglight programmer etc) OR BRING your own people for shows(which CWP/Chaos does for all runnung of their shows)who must be shadowed by the same type of "SPECIALIST" like a video wall programmer/switcher/Board operator/programer/Camera Person etc., then Freeman is deciding who gets put on calls. ==Not sure why you might not be on any active IATSE Carpenter/Electrictian list but Vegas is in the clutches of the Vegas HEAVY WEIGHTS regarding providing Labor. That is UNLESS you are a temaster? AND Freeman is even going after their turf providing Loaders and unloaders at the LVCC. Do not know what more I can do. I have told Scott T from Visual Lights also about your availability/and CWP/and Chaos. Not sure how much more i can do unless I was personely on a show. Not sure if this info helps or hurts but "Freeman" has really grown to a HUGE Labor provider in Vegas and in fact Convention Centers across the Country!

Rita here....so sorry that there has been so much conflict here latey. Actually it was Skip who" suggested" that we expand to a forum rather than a mere thread which is too complicated for me to understand and maybe confusing to other members too. Maybe we should just keep the old format Mary and get back to the sole purpose of bring family together and sharing our present and past thoughts and experiences. However, I do like the idea of having those separate topic threads that have to do with the food conspiracy, panthers,ect. As far as the book goes Kenny, I think you should stop worrying so much about people ripping off the information here..you and Ranger are two peas in a pod, worrying about things that haven't even happened yet and probably never will! Lets all just kiss/hug, make-up and go on from right now...Love you all

Our book is canceled. I've been getting way too crap about it lately, from people.
Cakes and me will do something separate perhaps. Like with Ellen and a few others.

You people will never have to hear me harass you, about the idea of a book, here on this forum, ever again. It's over. Post whatever you want here on the forum. It will never be use because of property issues.

Ranger says that the only reason that everybody is on facebook instead of being on here in this forum is all because of me. So, the book project is canceled now. And therefor I will not be at the OCF recording anyone. That's all done with. Sorry if I bothered anyone. Or harassed anyone. I do apologize to you one and all.

I never did want a strictly GE book anyway. That would never sell big. There are ton's of older people out there in these forums who would kill to get into a project like this. 60s, hippies, true stories. Not based around GE.

Just because some of us disagree with an idea that's brought up doesn't mean we reject the person with that idea. For the most part we all assume that any idea that is brought to us for consieration is an attempt to better things for all of us. However, as Spacey still says GE is not a dictatorship; it is is a pure democracy. The Forum/thread that Nailcakes started was a blessing for all of us looking for each other. It has grown incredibly and will continue to do so. It s sort of our town square. There is nothing that prevents any of us from conducting conversations on our own or on FB on any topic we choose ( I'm on the phone with many of you when I can and emailing when I can't). And nothing to prevent any of us from bringing to the town square something that has come up in a private conversation and inviting comment. The Facebook page doesn't take away from the Forum it supplements it and enlarges our presence so that more of the family can find us. It has one advantage in that this message that I get from the forum never comes up i.e.

"There may also be other replies, but you will not receive any more notifications until you visit the forum again."

I can't always get to the forum and I wish that every posting was emailed to me as in FB. That way I'm always in touch. Mary can this be fixed?

Mewanwhile love you all (as long as you don't throw tantrums.LOL) and I'm expecting to see as many of you as possible in July.

I am not mad at anyone. I just think it is frutile to keep trying to make this thing work when no one else is trying.

I dont know what I have done to turn everyone off. I am sorry if I did or said something to cause all this un-rest

This FORUM was a GIFT to us and we turned up our noses to it. There is great potential in these thread I was trying to build. Topics of interest, We still have the conversation thread The Good Earth Commune. These subforums were/are just points of interest.

If the family does not come HOME anymore how can I get a consensus on anything. Am I suppose to run over to fb every time there is a question on what we should or should no do or say.
