Thank you for your sweet advice and loving encouragement!!!

Yes I am slowly pulling out of a 5 month depression...I am Bi Polar, made worse by hormones and lack of sunshine. (S.A.D.) I also let Sammi define me even though I knew better....I too much became Sammi Joy's Mom not Dawn Marie. We had to move her to a group home . I know the things I need to do to get back on track, But I got to the point where I was weak physically.
So living in a state where the sky is gray for six months isn't the best...but it's March and I can step out side and remember why I painted the house purple and tethered a life size poly-fiber cow to the maple tree...That every room in our little house speaks to who I am...a box of crayons exploding journals, rubber ducks, yellow roses...re-purposed porcelain throne an end table int the guest room/studio. Seasons change, everything changes...it is good and right...it is sad and unfair. So ... "If ya snooze ya loose." I am not losing!

The Spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. We ALL want to go to the OCF, we want it hard. We want it now.

I wanted to be at Woodpecker too way back when.

Kenny is right about long trips for some of us. It is a hardship to say the least. Not just the pasos it takes to fill up an SUV pulling a travel trailor1,000 miles at over 4.00 a gallon but it is in the hieght of the season.

Fron June to August I'm in the kitchen canning, hubilicious is picking/shuckin' and shreding/mowing. Ya cant just pick up and hual ass across the country ( as much as we both would love to) and leave all your harvest to rot on the vine and your livestock to fend for themselves. We need the harvest to make it through the winter.

As of flying, that would be trip but then we would be without a vehicle or a place to stay when we got there. We would have to buy pre-made food and water bc we couldnt bring it on the plane. The cost would be beyond what we could afford to spend on a fancy trip.

I am not trying to be negitive, just realistic. We'll be straped for cash untill the end of the yr when I get my early retirement. Two yrs after that the car and the rent house will be paid for and we'll be on easy street then :)

Hi Kenny Cakes et al....I know the $ thing always is the issue. I know Shit ain't free and i think we are ALL hands on as to how we make the $s needed to survive! No one here is CASH RICH!! Some may have a place and some may have a rig but NOBODY has a big bankroll that I know of (and why should I know that anyway) AND since we dream about getting a place(HUGE BUCKS NEEDED) I dream about getting togather for a party(not as much needed to do that)!!

Cakes is correct as MANY of us have garden, animals etc that need tending for the 4 days! If there ain't no one you can trust to help with that then that makes it impossiable to do a 3-4 day getaway and that is if you can get the Cheap flights to Eugene! The food and H2O when you get there I think can be sorta covered as some could cook up bulk food and MM2 have WATER have Toilit and even Showers there! BUT that is also a small cost to all to chip in to cover that cost. Yeah it is probally an undoable thang to put to gather. Jetting to Eugene ain't the eaisest route to get a cheap flight to either. Zev I know had the big expense of the jetting across country then he took the (BUS Green Tourtise I THINK) from SF which got him all the way to the fair/MM2 and Heathers.

My crazy thoughts was trying to MAYBE see if there was a way to get a BUS run to start from Texas ttravel cross New Mexice pick up the AZ folks OXYGEN and ALL then go up the California Great higway (not 101 anymore but I-5) and pick up anyone in LOW CAL, then the folks in Southern Cal, Mid Cal (this includes the SF area) then Northern Cal(includes Eureka, Eel River, Russian river, Ft Bragg etc.) Then on to Orygun. BUT that ain't a comfort run either!

Even this is expensive but I was just (LIKE Cakes)Dreaming and scheming as to how we could MAYBE do this run as afforadable as possiable for all. Again NO ONE here is wealthy to my knowledge??? I do know that most have unique needs, and personel responsiblities, BREATHING, gardens etc. AND I know when I think it through that comfort is way more needed than when we were young and comfort did not matter!. So just to keep the "something to dream about to cause happy thoughts to exist as we slog through the day to day .

Just trying to keep the hope and dream of getting togather alive!! If this can be done do not need the Mega Lotto just need to hit the couple thousand lotto! Maybe a scratcher or two!!

JUST thinking out loud as getting to MM2 and Heathers at OCF time seems to make best sence to try to brainstorm a mini gathering!! AND it was a real rejuvanating mind and soul ting.

Heck I get it. I cannot afford the MEDS the MAN/Doctors had me on so I have changed how I medicate. It does suck that funds are tight all over. BUT maybe just maybe cards will fall in the right combination if we all OHM on the least expensive(most affordable) way to get a road trip to happen. I know it is a VERY LONG shot....Just throwing the spagetti on the wall to see if any sticks before we have to eat it all as it drips to the floor!!

Kenny please call me wickwah or Chris (lol) as Tiller is my last Son born in Tiller. I had to change my handel here to get back on!

peace and love and JELLYBEANS too to all

It all starts with a Dream, everything that was ever achieved was first a dream of someones. If it was ment to be it will be.

Subject: A Poem Of Cyril's For The Book

    Thanks. I'll put it in.
Since the book is by date, i.e. year after year, I've got no idea where to put a poem. But somewhere. THX

    wickwah,

Maybe we can all gather at the OCF. Could happen. Even if New Mexico is way more central to Cakes, Ranger, Me, You, and others. MM and Hearth drive through it twice a year. I'll bet that Zev would just Love New Mex.

Here's my basic point. Right now we can only really work with what we have.

Perhaps we should try working with what we have now. Me or you could be dead by July, next. Only God would know.

We have now. We have this web space. we have each others. We have a Mission. We have e-mail. We have phones.

Do we have the will and the want?

    I do.
    Cakes does.

I'm putting the sign up list on this clipboard right here by the front door.
Y'all can sign in now or snooze. Really.

Maybe we'll all gather in Oregon 2,000 miles from my place or Cakes place. Maybe.

But what some of us ARE doing regardless, is:

Starting up an "International 60s Hippie Museum and Festival" First on-line and than at real locations. Mayhaps at woodstock, too.

Creating "The Hippie Book" 64 — 74 (Volume 1 of 43 volumes). Nobody has bothered to read it yet. But it WILL Happen. Then Cakes can buy a jet ticket.

Start a Church if we choose to. Or restart the Church.

Use all of these to make the money buy land in at least 4 different states to live on, farm, (I'm growing the popcorn first), be a commune on, raise hamburgers on, raise grand kids on. Or whatever.

Create a way to get together.

Who was it who said? "Be Here Now"
    LOL

Corn is one of our best growers, we always do good with corn even if it's a drought.

Did you know that popping corn is a specific breed?

    http://www.popcorn.org/ForTeachers/TeachingGuide/FromSeedtoSnack/tabid/87/Default.aspx

Ya see, if I lived with Lynn and you, I'd have a commercial plot of popping corn sowed. A cow and a butter churn. (electric churn. And solar panels.)

A silo for storage. A big hog wire pen. Huge. A hog trap one way gate. Popped corn for pig bate. (It's something that they never seen before.) And tell me, what all do we need to make 2,000 pounds of bacon? Aside from 100 pound bags of salt.

I'd buy a popcorn popping machine and I'd have the happiest bunch of hogs on your side of the Pecos. They'd be so dam fat! And spoiled.

Lynn and me and you could live on all popcorn and bacon. Maybe the occasional ham and swiss sandwich. You remember the electric churn. Right? First butter and next cheese.

    LOL

    Yum.

I'm trying to figure out if we all bought you a cow. Then with all of the eggs and buying 100 sacks of flour. How many icinged cakes could you make and sell to folks each day?

Let's design "Lynn's new Cash Farm" LOL Yummy.

Mouseman seems to do real good selling kettle corn. Just an idea.

Hey, I find that people who are "Bi Polar", tend to be much more "Globally oriented". And much more "well rounded" than the average person. LOL

    :sunny:

    That's a Globe/ Pole joke.

Havent tried growing popcorn.. we gotta hog trap.. do not wanna go back to raisin' hogs. We had a hogfarm, 164 hogs. Didnt make much money on them but we managed to stick with it for 8 yrs.

When the boys moved we sold the pigs off. Lynn couldnt do all the barrals by himself bc he was having surgeries on his back. He had about 16 barrals he would leave at the grocery stores in the area. They would fill them up with produce and Lynn and the boys would pick them up. The hogs also got beans and rice along with the fruits n veggies from the barrals. We do still have a farrow hog trap tho. We get a couple a yr for meat.

Well, ya see, I'm just trying to come up with some new ideas that we could do to make some brand new produces or services that we could come out with and corner the market on. Like you know how they advertise the Best Corn Fed Beef or the Best Corn Fed Pork. Well you folks could be just like Kobe Beef. We're the only ones who have the monopoly on raising Popcorn Fed Hams, Popcorn Fed Pork Chops, and Popcorn Fed Bacon. We could sell only to the Waldorf Astoria in New Your City and The Ritz n Paris. You cold even feed a hog beer for the last two weeks before slaughter.

If we could hook it all up to end up making premium dollars (top dollar) like Kobe Beef:
    http://www.google.com/search?q=kobe...s=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

You could even end up hiring and flying over to Texas a couple of them Japanese masseuse who do nothing but massage the Kobe Beef for weeks before they knock them off. Just think of it. Massaged, beef fed, popcorn fed, Pork loin. The finest in the world. The Japanese make their name in beef, but the Americans make their name in Bacon!

Seriously though, do ya think that Lynn could manage with a wheel barrow full of already popped corn? That wouldn't be to much, would it? Please ask him? Okay? LOL And if we feed the hogs beer for the last two weeks, there may be a little extra. LOL

LOL I met a person who was Antarctic polar only. They didn't go there with the North one. Everybody called her "Rebel".

    As for me, I'm Quad-Polar. 4 poles.
Has anyone bothered to call Poland about any of this?

And where in the world is Ranger when we start coming up with stuff like this? He's great at this stuff.
