and so, it's time to Spring Forward once again.. hey did you guys/gals know that since the dude that invented leap yr went and changed time and did not tell the myans, we would have had the end of the world last June?!? Stanger things have happened

 

Actually, the Mayans did compensate for the one quarter of a day extra each and every year. The extra six hours each year is build into their calendar and they counted it in, each year, as they went.

That information is incorrect. Sorry. They had all of that shit way more together than we ever did. They even had the few extra seconds written down that happen each year, and figured those in as they went along, also.

Where we are we stay on standard time all Summer long. Who needs to save daylight, here?

Actually there is not 365.25 days in a year: there's 365.24 so therefor every 400 years there's a screw up. As a matter of fact, Christmas was originally held on the 21st of December; Solstice (the Christians had usurped the date for obvious reasons), but after 400 years the date kept moving so Pope Gregory the 14th (I think) fixed the date at Dec. 25th.

Amazing how some people can screw things up trying to do..... Whatever!

This is Rita. Can't ever remember my log on info. Crazy weather..had primmed myself for days to do laundry and walk to the little country store,got up this am and it was sunny,perfect temp but by the time Iwas ready to start my chores (about an hour later) it was snowing!!! Did get the laundry done though....Kenny, give us a call..it's too hard to get ahold of you...have to go through 3 voice mails and that hard brain work for me..lol. Hope and pray all is going well for all our brothers and sisters here. BTW, piscis Patty, are you the same PAtty that lived on the river in Monte Rio with Rennie?

Snow?!? wow it's so warm here I'm sweating at 6:00 in the morning it 78 < degree mark goes here).. gonna be a blasting furnace this summer. We got an earily start on the garden so hopefully it will not burn up before june like we did last yr.

Lynn just plowed up another 1/2 acher to plant. It's suppose to rain like hell for the next 3 days, says we're suppose to get 4 to 6 inches.. Hubs shoulda got the plowing done and seeds in before the rain. Will have to wait now before he can get back in there to make the rows so we can plant the seeds.

We have, Onions, potatos and greens in one garden already growing. Still a little earily to plant the tender top crops yet.. last frost is suppose to be April 8th, so says Blums. We usually get a frost the week before Easter but who knows the way the weather is behaving. Now we got the Solar Flares.. what's that gonna do.. so strange the way things are coming down.

Great info but if I asked Hub to build me a cage, he would gladly do so and put me in it and swallow the key. He already thinks I'm a bit excentric and to request this would remove all doubt in his mind concerning my sainity, as it were
