There's a whole lotta folks that you could get to know here. They all come and go, in their time.

Some knew Cyril way closer then others. If you walk the path here, you will get to know family. In time, those who are tightest with Cyril will return to see what's been going on around here. Some read much and post little. If you become a regular, then you be around when they blow by.

Hang around. Make new friends. Magic thing will happen.

Question:
Went you were reading about Boogie, which names of which folks were talking about him.
If we know who, them maybe we can can them folks to came around here and meet you.

Who?

As a brand new member here, you can't do messaging with folks. After about 10 or 20 posts, you status will change and you and other can message in private, directly.

 

The names that came up were yourself, ranger, spud, wlzer, shameless heifer, and mostly mouseman

What made me smile the most was when Mouseman mentioned Boogie asking
which Cyril? From the responses I figured that most of you all didn't know that he named all his boys 'Cyril'....Cyril Duane, Cyril Steven, Cyril Spring and Cyril Obadiah....his youngest daughter is named Cyrilla

Baby girl you talking about BABY Boogie Right?? I do not think Boggie Joe knew Cyril well but if he did he is now in key West (Boogie Joe is I mean.)

Hello and Welcome Home Dawn Baby Girl,

I knew Cyril pretty well. I always liked him. He was a good guy as far as I could tell. He always had a smile for everyone and was a worker as opposed to being a slacker. Cyril seemed a quite man, not loud and rowdy. I'm sure he had his moments but not one to display them. I think everybody love Cyril.

I know him and Shills were biznez partners in making redwood table tops. I was at their shop a time or two.

I see Mouseman is here, maybe he has some stuff to add, he and Cyril were close.

Heeeyyyy Mouseman, got anything for Cyril's baby Girl>>?

 

Tillerwah...I was talking of 'Boogie' Cyril's son...he was the one you all might remember (maybe even Hope and Heather) It was boogie that told Mouseman that Cyril had died.

 

I actually love to write...but have to use my daughter's tiny note book...itty bitty screen and keyboard are driving me nuts!
Yes Cyril was one you couldn't help but like...apparently especially the ladies. I knew from several visits from the time I was seventeen until he died. Getting to know him helped me to understand why I seemed so different then any of my family. I was a old hippie growing up in a decade of big hair...an artist where art was discouraged....a collector of lost souls and puppies taught by instinct not example! And like Cyril...Bi Polar.
Cyril made all the pieces fit...

 

I remember Boogie, I rescued him from the Blue Meanies in the sweep they made in 70'. I talked them into letting me take the kids instead of them taking them to Child Haven.

Boogie was screaming his head off as they stuffed his mama in the paddy wagon, there were babies and mamas crying everywhere.

They did not take me or the other two ppl in our flat bc I was not yet affiliated with Good Earth, just rented the street level flat facing Oak St. in the same building. I became very affiliated soon afterwards. I did however get caught up in the next sweep.

 

Was that his birth mama or Nanci? Was that when she gave him to Cyril? and does anyone know if he was there is '66?
I have so many questions...

 

He lived with Spacy Stacey before there was a Good Earth Commune, he, Stacey, Dana and some others. Good Earth wasnt established untill 69' or 70..?

Your dad seemed like a quiet one. I was 'round 21 and he was a good bit older than me and running with the older cats. Much as one would expect. He seemed like a real straight shooter. Tell ya just what he thought. A solid guy.

Mostly, I remember his grin. And he always had a twinkle in he's eye, like he was up to something, or something. Perhaps, he was. Something like Life. Or could of been something else. Ya never know.

Back then, I stayed out of everyone's business, all of the time. So, I can honestly say, "I never knew." LOL In truth.

Course, lot's of folk had grins and twinkles in their eyes, back then, as I recall. Sort of of a Cheshire Cat kind of thing. You know what I mean. (Inference.) alluding to.

He was greatly respected by all, and quite a character. Quite an individual.

I have legs, they dont work to well but I have them none the less. The house, land and buildings do not have legs however and refuse to relocate themselves.. Cant just up n leave just bc the going gets rough, how rough would it be if we just left and were homeless. We're to set in to change our ways now.

 

I met Cyril and everybody in June of 1969, while the idea for the Good Earth was coming together. I can tell you everything I remember for a period from about then to Spring of 1970. Boogie was Nanci's baby. She was pregnant with him when I met them.

well my dear Kennykins..
WE AINT DEAD YET...lol..Ya just gotta bundle up and ride it out. For instants. I am at this minute wearing. Pantyhose, three pairs of socks and my Mucs. I have on sweatpants over the hose and a thick sweater, a Robe AND another robe over that. I cannot find my gloves with the tips of the fingers cut off so I can still type, so when my fingers get too cold, I'll sit on one hand and type with the other and then switch out.. only thing there is that my butt gets cold from sitting on my cold hands...lololol..

 

So then, you could literally say that you are freezing you butt off because of you hands. LOL Sounds much better then frost bitten finger.
