Christians Protest the War in Iraq!

I did not do any of the things you are accusing Christians-- and therefore me-- of doing. While the first, second, and technically also third sentances in my post are statements of opinion, they are opinions that I agree with. The rest of my post consisted purely of statements of fact. I am not a liar. I have protested this war since it began. When I was speaking about the reverands, I was speaking about those in my church. I know that some sects of Christians do have church leaders who advise, and even instruct them how to vote. I have always found that to be a disturbing event. It does not happen in the church I belong to. I respect you as a person, I agree with your signature, and I also respect the good things you do here. However, I disagree with you. In several cases I know you are wrong. I have never said things such as "stay the course" or "support the troops". I do pray for the armed forces to come both safely and immediately home. Perhaps you misunderstood what I said on the subject. I hope that clarifies a bit. Also, minor point:I am not uncertain that Jesus loves me. I know.

I protest against everyone who supports the war. It's not exclusive.

I didn't say my church is anti-war. I also didn't say it is pro-war. What I said was that there are both liberals and conervatives in my church. I don't think it's wise to go to other people's houses of worship and protest against them there.

It's not my job to moniter everyone else in their Christianity. I protest against what I think is wrong. I have nothing againt Muslim fundamentallists other than that I disagree with their religion.Noone can put me in my "place" except for God and myself, and I am already in it.

Of course people will attack Christians. The Bible says repeatedly that those who believe in and acknowledge Christ will be persecuted.

Again, I repeat I never said anything about "staying the course". How am I supposed to disscuss this with you if I am continually being accused of saying things I never said? Also, there is already a bloodbath around the world. That's what I'm trying to stop when I protest.

Yes time is running out for Christians. It's called The Apocalypse. And then time will have run out for everyone else.

We're on the same side Skip, believe it or not. We just have different religous beliefs. Shoudn't those who are opposed to this war be joining together to stop it, rather than quarreling amongst themselves over hows, and whys? The important thing is to end this ridiculous war.

 

I'm withdrawing from this disscussion. All that's happening here is that I'm getting attacked for saying and doing things, when, in fact I say and do the exact opposite of what I'm being accused of.
