Christianity: "Over and Done"

Excuse me, are we not on the Christian fourm? What would you expect Christians to talk about when the fourm itself is Christian. And the whole Christian faith is Based on the Bible. Yet your telling me we cannot discuss our 2,000 year old Christian Bible on the Christian fourm. You come to the Christian fourm, you accuse me of being brainwashed, because I believe in a Christian Bible, which you don't want to hear about on the Christian fourm. You threaten me with banning, and then tell me it's ok to talk about religion, but not the Book my religion is based on. Are you feeling ill? Perhaps you should go to a site where you will not have to talk with Christians who have a passion for their Christian Bible. If you want to be on a Christian fourm, you should learn to be more tolerant of what Christians believe in, rather then threatening them on their own fourm.

 

Id like to know how and why 'prostylitising, witnessing or converting are bad?
Of course not.
I just noticed among some circles these are now 'bad things' or some new unwritten rule where its considered 'unallowable'.

From my perspective and to be perfectly honest I would expect that anyone who really believes in their shit would, should and could make efforts to invite me to it.
If you really believe that Buddha can give me a path to true enlightenment then why wouldnt you try and get me on board?

 

No no, You are still mistaken, Please read your quote again, Jesus says that he does not come here to bring peace... and then he goes on to state how he brings a sword. This is to show that the pathway to God that he offers might feel like chastisement, it won't be pretty, thats it. He then states later in the bible if you read further how God is so wonderful and peaceful and in Him we find eternal joy. You are mistaken if you think he does not bring peace, because he does.

God brings peace to those who love Him this I agree with, yet those who oppose Him will not find any peace. And according to Jesus, most of the world hates Him.

 

If you have Christ in your heart you would be saved. What Jesus was saying here, is if it were not for His return all human life on the planet would be physically killed off. Spiritually all in Christ will live reguardless of what happens here on earth. And not to worry, Jesus is coming again.

Skip, I'll step up to the plate.

I see Campbell has been banned. I'm kind of self-banned now, but have to speak up and disagree with this decision. This is the Christianity forum, Campbell hasn't strayed from it in a long time, and what Campbell talks about is what's in his mind...he's only doing what what you asked for, Skip.

Those tactics for winning souls are "bad" because they're at best just plain irritating, and, if persistently applied despite requests to cease and desist, are an invasion of the personal and psychological boundaries of those who don't wish to participate.

Number one, that's generally not the style in eastern faiths, though there are exceptions ( to jedi). If a seeker is truly interested, the info and friendly folks are usually there, especially in this online age.

Number two, I really believe my particular schit (FYI, I'm not a Buddhist), but wouldn't invite you personally because I would face nothing but silence, or glib obsfucation and ridicule in "Christian" guise...in other words, my pearls would be cast aside or trampled by he they were thrown before.

Now, having had the opportunity for a final say on Mr. Campbell and another matter of importance, I will truly enter the state of self-bannage, and not reply to responses.

This is just amazing to see what I always suspected - the very same people who pretend to be for 'free speech' and for 'open-mindedness' are exactly the same people who will ban and censor thoughts and ideas they dont agree with.

btw.. in case anyone was wondering, s.k.i.p. is a law enforcement acronym (play on the words for 'skip tracing') and this entire site is set up for the purpose of tracking down drug people.

If that were so, then I would suggest it would be a waste of public money, because the person seriously involved in drug dealing is hardly going to advertize the fact on the internet. Unless of course, their level of intelligence were equivalent to your own.
