God made all of us and in bible it is said that God has made man in his image, then why the shame in believing that you are a part and parcel of God and that is the divinity inherent with in you. Yes, you can demonstrate sinful nature, you are not perfect like the almighty supreme lord, but a closer look is needed when we think about sin. What is sin? Is it watching too much TV? Is it ignoring your duties? so what exactly is sin? , when we analyze this, the conclusion for one would be and I think you will agree that anything that takes us away from God is sin. So, yes you are able to sin, because you are capable of moving away from God and spirituality... so don't do that, embrace the spirituality, embrace God and embrace everyone with your love.
There is only perfection, "imperfection" is perfection... The almight supreme lord is in ALL FORM, including the so called imperfect Erasmus with a "sinful" nature. Everything is beautiful, horribly wonderfully pooginantly beautiful! There really is no sin... There is only the leela of the one consciousness, its dance... good and evil are all part of the dance... good is not better then evil, it's all good because IT'S ALL GOD! It just when you realize this, and see that's it's all one consciousness one does not hurt oneself even though one understands why this happens... ahimsa comes naturally with realization. The most horrific acts are committe by those that think we are seperate from each other, that don't view others as themselves. Yet this is all part of the dance... this is what the one consciousness wants. Destruction is Creation is Preservation Shiva is Brahman is Vishnu All is ONE THE PERFECT ONE! From the Gospel of Thomas 22. Jesus saw infants that were suckled. He said unto his disciples, "These infants that are suckled are like those who enter the kingdom." They said unto him, "If we then become children, would we thus enter the kingdom?" Jesus said unto them, "When ye make the two one, and when you make the inside like unto the outside and the outside like unto the inside, and that which is above like unto that which is below, and when ye make the male and the female one and the same, so that the male no longer be male nor the female female; and when ye fashion eyes in place of an eye, and a hand in place of a hand, and a foot in place of a foot, and a likeness in place of a likeness; then will ye enter into the kingdom." The man that does not realize that the prince of darkness is but the other face of the king of light does not realize ME!
GP, as vehemently as I have disagreed with you in the past, I like this new ganja prince very much. You reminded me of a beautiful shloka from Adi Shankara's jivanmuktananda lahiri: Kádádvaitam pashyannakhilamapi satyam shivamayam mahákhyárthánámavagati samabhyása vashataha Gatadvaitábhásah shiva shiva shivetyeva vilapan munir ca vyámoham bhajati guru dikshá kshata tamáha Seeing all things as an expression of the eternal One truth, purity itself, having understood and realized the teachings of the mahavakyas (that thou art) firmly established in the oneness of all, ever repeating the names of the lord only (all names spoken are the names of the lord, for the lord is in all things) the sage whose ignorance has been washed away by the Guru's grace, is never deluded.
He was 'wise' in the sense he was beaking off about obscure concepts that purposefully unexplainable and unverifiable. That way gullible people would reward him with some degree of acclaim and value which could never be caught out. Otherwise, you are letting yourself get farrrrr to 'wowwed' by the rather obvious premise that we are all from the same parents and life works in obvious interdependance. Wow.. get over it and dont stop there.
This amuses me, for the one who you are speaking of, the one I quoted was none other than our savior, the lord Jesus Christ.
Bhaskar, I had guessed the source of your quote but didn't want to reply and put words in your mouth. Well spoken!
