The giant skeleton remains are not just from local areas, but have been discovered all over the earth. This would be in keeping with the Biblical account. http://www.stangrist.com/giants.htm
I agree with you 100%. Yet when lives are being lost daily you often donot know the right approach for every person. The Bible does not pull any punches, yet the church has done this for years. So now when you actually start to tell people what is really in the Bible, it is often a shock to them. I am usually confrontational only when faced with one who first becomes confrontational, and condescending. It's hard when certain one's will continually state that you are wrong, but they themselves refuse to look at evidence which would prove why you are right.. And then when they deny that you have any evidence after you have placed it in front of them three or four times. Well you can see how one would react. Also you have to realize there are certain one's who come here not looking for any kind of truth, but only to point fingers, and run others down.
NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC HAS NOW STATED, MOUNT JABAL AL LAWZ, IS THE REAL MOUNT SINAI. DO YOU CONSIDER NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC A RELIGION?
I would just like to point out that, on this site, there seem to be only two "true" christians. Campbell, and JesusDied4U. Does anyone else find this a bit odd? I mean, if they are so right, why are there only two of them, and why do they always get in arguments with everyone else?
I cannot agree or disagree with your observation of the number of 'true Christians', but I say, instead of taking the popular views of the subject to justify its validity, observing its context as objectively as possible will provide better answers. So, context instead of quantity first. Then you -might- be able to say, "Well, that's why almost no one on these forums believes anyway..." Could be another more practical reason as well... There is a lot of opposition to this faith on these forums, perhaps "true Christians" have found a place where they may speak in peace and without constant argument. I have nothing against discussion and intelligent debate... But let's try to keep it at that. I'm not blaming anyone, pointing fingers.... At any rate, I put my two cents in reply to that quote.
You might check these sites out. Hope I typed them in right. http://www.lauralee.com/news/gianthumanremains.htm http://paranormal.about.com/od/mysteriousremains/a/aa060605.htm
thats the thing. these "true christians" dont even like to converse with their own kind. Can you imagine campbell having a peaceful, thoughtful conversation with another christian? I cant. Campbell strives off of lecturing others. He probably doesnt even like to talk about his own religion with someone he agrees with, because in that situation he wouldnt be able to be the only right one. Hes got to talk down to people, and he has to be right. same with jesusdied4u. why else would he make such a name? He gets his kicks out of telling other people hes saved, and they wont be saved unless they agree with him. These people have mental deficiencies. The first step in having a reasonable spiritual argument with someone is first finding someone who is mentaly stable.
So let them be and find someone who is. Why focus on people who will not waver from their thoughts, who will not be open to see things in a different light? Let them be, and find another who will have a true talk with you... For instance, I was raised a Catholic, and have had many talks with fundamentalist christians... about God, salvation, Creationism, etc... So, let's talk! Leave those who choose to have deaf minds alone. Speak to those who will hear.
Well you failed to point out that the article stated that this body was unually large considering age and origin, also the second post speaks of skeleton remains, that was uncovered in Brewersville Ind. that was 9 feet 8 inches tall.
Well I believe the first step in having a dicussion on spiritual matters, is to have evidence that can be considered. Now the problem comes in, when people who do not believe as you do ignore that evidence, and then rather than discuss it's merits, they turn and demonize the person who presents it. It's the oldest trick in the book. If you don't like the message, kill the messenger. The one's who have deaf minds, are the one's who walk away from evidence that can be examined and reaserched. Why would one waver from verfiable truth, unless presented with something which proved he or she was wrong. What you are really looking for, is yes man, who will agree with your thinking, even if your thinking is based on nothing but opinion. And then you suggest that those who present this evidence are the ones having deaf minds. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.
Hold on a sec, what are you talking about? I'm just speaking about an open discussion with evidence on both sides. Saying, "It's in the Bible, the Bible's truth and actuality is undeniable, therefore what I believe is true." - isn't evidence of anything but opinion. That's a deaf mind. Someone who says, "Well, I believe the Bible as the truth, I believe this and that, and... -here- is evidence for it from a source outside of the Bible." That's certainly respectable, and that's all I'm saying.
i agree with Burn here. I also think that ths sites presented should be looked at with an open mind, as well as appreciation for Campbell's efforts. Fuzzy, you are being quite heartless. Relax. Maybe we can learn something from you.
The word Christianity means different things to different people. After all Christianity is really just a word. Truth will never die.
i think it's great that you can admit you're being a bit heartless. We are all in here to learn and share and i find it such a shame that there are always so many arguments. We're wasting time bickering. Let's all consider eachother's points of view and be respectable. I dont know why but i feel like the only Christian in here that really admires Fuzzy for the things he has to say. You have to try and put yourself in someone else's shoes sometimes to understand where they are coming from better. We have all grown up differently and have been molded to understand different things in different ways. Diversity is a beautiful thing! ok i have question for you. What was your church like when you went before? Now i know you will probably list the negative things, but please try and remember some good things too. Balance is the key! thanks! but i think it's safer to say that i bring out the best in other people. That's what i try to do! because there is good in us all! And we are all lovable!
Well then, you were not paying attention to what I have stated. I have stated that the Bible has made claims that there were giants in the earth before the flood. This came about by fallen angles that took human woman as wives. Their resulting children became like monsters. This idea of giants in the earth was not believed by many, because they thought the Bible to be nothing but a story book. Yet in the last century, they have discovered all over the earth skeketons of great size. Some 12 feet and taller. These discoveries once again show that the Bible is much more than a simple story book. There are even greater descoveries than these, which are now verifing some of the main and more unbelievable stories to be found in the scriptures. Yet you really have to the research, because these discoveries usually do not make front page news. For some, the prospects of these stories actually being true is rather frighting. As a result, when I present the evidence for these stories, they often attack me, rather than the evidence. When I speak of evidence, I refer to the Bible, but the evidence that I am speaking of is physical evidence which is outside of the scriptures, yet is described in the scriptures.
do you see, how you do the same with evolution? you diregaurd evidence, and repeat "Evolution is a false science which requires more faith than Christianity" See how it works both ways?
I would say there are more than two true Christians on here but only God knows for sure. And that goes for me and Campbell. We get into arguments because well past the majority of the people on the "Christian" forum have opposite worldviews of the Bible. Me, Campbell, Epiphany, Ryupower, and a few others do not look at the world as society sees it but almost as if we had the Bible as a pair of glasses. When people have opposite worldviews naturally there is going to be arguments and it is nothing personal. I love to hear the opposing views because it strengthens and broadens my view. You must also keep in mind that most people in the world are not True Christians but God only takes those who are sincere. It was Jesus who said: Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
