Ah thats not to bad, I thought it was like a monthly fee you pay regardless? Like car insurance or something...

It happened in the morning one day at school, playing soccer, at first it just felt like a stubbed toe, and i went all through the school day with it, walking on it, i have an abormally high pain tolerance, which can be good and bad i guess lol, then i get home from school, take off my shoes, and through my sock i could see my toe in the wrong direction so i was like so i take off my sock and it was gross... but i left it until the next day, just put some ice on it, then i woke up and it was black so i went to the hospital...

your right though they really didn't do anything... they just kind of positioned it, then wrapped it up to my other toe.. i wouldn't really wanna position it myself though, that would be disgusting lol

i think it makes so much more sense to have good preventative programs, a good basic healthcare-for-all plan, and then if you want extra/faster/special medical services have the ability to throw money at the problem. i mean, in the US, what would it really cost? most people dont even need/ want to go to the doctor. lets guess high, $200 per person per year. fill up a medical coffer, then reduce the rate to keep it topped off. oh crap! new supervirus? fund the cure through the coffers. its like education, people dont want to pay higher property taxes because they dont have kids, but the country does better when everyone knows the same basics, those people dont really want to be surrounded by uneducated fucktards.

as far as the "everyone will be part time" kind of thing, this is obviously bad in this case, but wouldnt it be brilliant if you could live on part time? moms and dads could be home with their kids, or (gasp!) spend time with each other. if you really had the oomph you could work more than one job to save up for the future, or for your own business... if you could only survive on part time wages. most people are in service industries simply because the other jobs are not there, service is the only thing the US has covered. heres your change. do you want fries with that? sure ill hang that up for you! would you prefer a table or a booth?

in school we had this 'school insurance' kinda thing, i never got it, but damn i should have, would be rich by now 99% of my injuries happened in school... you know those rope climbing thngs that go to the roof? i was at the top, fell off and landed on my arm, snapped that shit up lol, then i twisted my toe sideways in gym playing socker, snapped my finger in gym playing hockey, broke my ankle going off a jump in the snow on a sled at lunch, ran into those big white soccer goal things fractured a wrist in football, the list goes on...

I'm such a klutz... but since i've graduated, i've had no big injuries...

Insurance is simple. You are paying out betting that something is going to happen to you. The insurance company is betting that something won't happen to you.

i don't think we ever had anything like that here, or when i was in elementary school in nova scotia.

my buddy ended up getting $10,000+ from the school board in a lawsuit because he had a bunch of teeth knocked out during a baseball game in gym class. it was basically just enough to cover the dental bills though. gym teacher didn't bring out a catcher's mask.

Send love stoners, I broke my favorite pipe today (of about 6 years)... Dropped it on the marble counter-top of the bathroom sink. I only dropped it from a height of a couple inches and the pipe was super thick (I've dropped it about 5 or 6 times in the past on hard surfaces, including concrete), but being that marble is much denser than glass, it didn't take but a small clink to bust her into 3 or 4 pieces...

Perhaps I should listen to intuition more; its funny because all day I have been thinking about quitting smoking for a while and focusing on other things in my life. I've been seriously contemplating this all day (inspired by Hancock's TED speech) and I was thinking I'm probably pretty overdue to restore my body back to its original baseline, back to the natural equilibrium that a body should maintain if you nix the ingestion of huge amounts of cannabis and concentrates every few hours.... But ultimately I decided I would wait a few days and think about it again; if I still felt like a break was in order, then a break I would have.... I guess this was not the right answer though. Because I literally just got done thinking about temporarily parting ways with the sacred plant when I dropped the pipe and it shattered. Guess that was the answer to my question right there, slapping me in the face
