    EWWWWW! :(

What kind of snake is that? But most important...do you often try to pick up snakes? If you do, you'd probably LOVE my yard! I've gotten to where I'm not only taking a BIG walking stick every single time I go outside, I walk as heavy as possible as I bam! bam! that stick down.

I have heard all my life that if snakes can feel you (I know they "hear" through vibrations), they are supposed to try to avoid people. That hasn't really been my experience. Maybe there are "special" snakes here?

Since the year 2000, it has gotten worse every year here at this house & yard re snakes. btw...I didn't like snakes even before I was bitten.

i dont kill snakes whatsoever.. not even if its a venomous one. if you are outside you are in their home they have just as much right to be there as you do and they are part of the earth so they belong. i know ppl can argue as much as they want, but thats just what i think

Machinist, I generally agree with you...and if I had been bitten when I was out rambling in the yard or woods I probably wouldn't feel like I do. I don't know if you've read what I've posted before about getting bitten..but I was on the sidewalk in my back yard! The sidewalk is not in the midst of the 2 1/2 acres. It makes a path from one gate to the other, very close to the house.

There are LOTS of woods and land for them to play on! Even beyond the house and across the road are acres and acres of woods. WHY in the world do they need to come here to the house is my question and problem. lordy mercy!

Also we have had 2 snakes IN the house...one was a moccasin and one was about a 7 foot black snake.

But I agree about getting in their environment...if I'm rambling in their territory, that's on me. I USED to go woods rambling a LOT...no more. :(

    I like checkers...even Chinese checkers! :)

I know how to play chess, but haven't in years. Too much thinking for a game. :p

Edit: I LOVE to play darts! haven't in a while, but I used to be pretty good. :D
