in america people post nonsense without ever bothering to check their sources

fact 1 - they don't eat cats in china
fact 2- trade of endangered species is illegal in china and often punished by death (though the police is not strong enough to catch all the criminlas)
fact 3- the demand for fur is generated by westerners so yes - boycott fur

erm, this is a recent account from a book I read last week, he was the one that documented the cats and endangered species, both being sold at a market in plain site. When I asked my chinese teacher(who has lived in China her whole life) she said said, "Chinese people eat everything with 4 legs but the table, and anything with two legs except the cook".

    What's your source?

fur can be traded through many countries, even though it says it's from europe, it could really be from china.

this makes me so angry. I bet this is how they kill the dogs and cats that they eat over there. sick fucks.

    I like wool. :D
but only ethically produced wool. it's renewable, carbon free, and keeps you as warm as fur. yeah, this is why I don't use synthetic stuff either, fuckin' oil and carbon.

but I'm not gonna get all pissy at you.. do what you like

living in china for over 10 years
the "Chinese people eat everything with 4 legs but the table, and anything with two legs except the cook" is a famous Chinese proverb describing Cantonese cuisine. But even in Canton they rarely eat cats.
Google the words 猫肉 (cat meat) and most hits will be Chinese people expressing disgust at the mere thought . The first hit I got was of an illegal place selling cat meat.
Eating endangered species is very rare. You will have to search really hard in underground illegal restaurants to come across anything like that.
Saying Chinese people eat cats and engendered species is like saying Westerners like child pornography.
