I remember when I had chicken pox, but I dont remember how old I was...... I think I was in the 2nd or 3rd grade. I had a really bad fever with it, I think it was 104-105. I remember that I was in the hospital, sleeping on an ice bed because my temperature was so high.... and then when I got to go home, I still had chicken pox on the bottom of my feet...... ouch that hurt. you dont want chicken pox on the bottom of your feet.
I've had all over ezcema. (I've heard that this is kind of equal.) I couldn't sit in water even with alveno. (I got it from stress and sweat.) I have episodes in different spots on my body from time to time. If you'd like to come scratch my ezcema write me at this address. you guys do know that the chicken pox vax wears off, right? and it's not always effective. and that a lot of kids who dont actually get any pox can still have immunity to chickenpox. Most adults who get shingles have had chicken pox when they're kids. we actually need to be exposed to chicken pox as adults in order to renew our natural immunity to it. it's the people who *arent* exposed over the years by their kids, other people's kids, grandkids, etc who end up with shingles. so, yeah, a lot of these kids who are getting vaxed for chickenpox as kids, arent going to get it now, they'll get it when they're older and more vulnerable to getting really really sick from it. brilliant, huh? i remember when i had chickenpox as a kid. my mom didnt do anything for the itchies and i've got a couple of scars on my leg... but she was an all round crappy mom about everything. my neighbour's kids are just getting over chickenpox right now. my kiddo somehow has avoided it this time around, even though a lot of the kids he usually plays with got it.
hmm, i had chicken pox in 2nd or third grade.. i remember being really mad at my younger brother and purposly telling him to sit on my lap so i could read to him so he would get them. pretty evil, i know. but it all worked out well, cause both of my mom's kids got them at the same time. the chicken pox werent that bad for my bro. and me... it wasnt PLEASANT but we got off school for a week.
l just had 3 weeks off work because of chicken pox. l was not contagious the whole time, but l'm a registered nurse and my employers didn't want me coming to work with any scabbs on me, not a good look having a scrabby nurse. Anyway the first 2 weeks were hell as l ended up with pleurisy.
