    oh, well, then, maybe something like GO would be more appropriate. it's far more strategic than chess anyways.

    Learning chess was probablly one of the best things for me as a child. It expands thinking capabillity immenslley. But as you can tell it does nothing for spelling

    My dad taught me when I was ten. I'm a pretty strong player, but I've still never beaten him.

    Yes, chess is an excellent way to expand cognitive reasoning skills.

    Gee, so I should not allow my son to play chess because there are bishops and we are not Xtian?
    C'mon. The benefits of chess FAR outweigh any inkling of militarism. (or religiosity)
    Strategic thought, long-range planning and then thrill of stomping a parent every once in a while? that's kid heaven right there.

    are you able to modify the lettering in your sig graphic? It scan reads at dorklunocy.Probaly not what you are after :). Perhaps thicken the A in the circles?
