I don't know if this is a very good one, but there is a massive record store near my house that marks down the price of different CDs and DVDs when they order too many, or they just want to get rid of them. I have gotten $30 albums for $5 before. I just go in there whenever I can and keep checking to see whats on sale. I never buy anything for more than a third of the original price. Another cool thing....$1 canvas bags...we call them green bags here. They are so sturdy and big that I have used a whole bunch of them to move house before.
we've got a used record store here with 25 cent 45's that's been really good for my record collection.
Thats awesome. You can't really get decent '45s here for less than $15 now...unless you're happy with "C3PO's 1979 disco hits" or "The Snowdonian Choir sing traditional welsh favorites" - these go for a pinch.
shit, I can't even imagine paying $15 for a 45, I've DEFINITELY paid that for LP's before, but never a 45
Haha thats so funny I work with ALL those hair products because of my merchandising job. And the strawberry Suave shampoo...I smell it every day. I cant help it. Its so delicious.
cleaning products. if you have a dollar tree near you, you should check out their cleaning products, some of really work just as good as the more expensive brands.. and they're only $1.06 a bottle (6% sales tax in pa)
Theres just something about the colour, the soft squishyness of the bottle, and the smell is to die for
I have had a few merchandising jobs. I had one doing resets in grocery stores and I remember smelling the strawberry suave when I was in that section. It does smell good. I remember once I was in a store and they had all suave shampoos on sale for 69 cents.
used books, those packets of mexican salt-free herb mixes. the house plants at ikea...99 cents for a tropical...hells yessers
i used to use suave when i had long hair because i could get the great smelling coconut shampoo and conditioner, but my hair didnt like it, so i had to use something else. but now that my hair is super short again, i can use whatever i want just cause it smells good. i will soon be using that coconut stuff again, cause it smells SO damn good! hmm...cheap but good?
oh, a company called Swad offers good spices and seasonings for cheap. i bought nearly a pound of cumin seed right after highschool for less than 5 bucks. i use it more than any other spice, and i still haven't managed to use it all up. their products are at least as good as mccormick, but with different things offered (mostly specific to indian food, but a lot of universal stuff, too, like salt, pepper, cumin, etc.)
