Serious thunder, lightning and high winds last night. Winds blew off the roof of the local flower shop in the historical downtown. (about a half mile from me) Lots of tree limbs down around and high waters in the streams etc.

The South, of course, got a lot worse than we did but this was bad and loud. Glad it is over.

i am so glad to be out of rentals. i hate sharing floors and walls. other people blowing their smoke directly into my balcony door, thumping and banging, while i yell at my kid not to do the same. ugh. i mean, there are good renters, and good areas, but i think the temporary nature of a rental breeds those negative "who gives a fuck" behaviors. my dog can shit in your yard, eat your livestock, im moving anyway. my kids can run through and tag your house, im moving anyway.
of course, owning has its downsides. neighbors sprayed some of my weeds, even though i identified them last year, and they are NOT the terrible puncturevine that they think it is, but its actually storkbill filaree. now its a ragged, nasty poison patch, in my yard. but i actually like the neighbors, so i dont want to start shit. so i explained what the plant was (now that its too late and poisened) and what my plan is for that side of the yard, which starts with some sort of paver barrier between the properties, because i CAN NOT allow them to spray my yard again. thanks for listening, neighbor, about my herbicide/ pesticide free yard plans. thanks so much for salting my earth.
luckily what im planning to plant in that area are a pair of fruit trees, probably cherry, and by the time those get established enough to bear any fruit the ground should be safe. also berries, and flowery herbs.

have dentist appointment for tomorrow morning. most likely root canal, he wants to save the middle tooth, but he will just pull it out if i want him to. he knows how i feel about bridges and crowns (too expensive, bitch to clean, not permanent) so he did not recommend those, but he says if i pull teeth in between other teeth i will have trouble with them shifting. so, we will try to save the outer structure of that middle tooth, until its time to pull that one and the one behind it.
sedative fillings did not work for shit though. the pain attacks are terrible, hurt all the way up into my ear and temple. worried about bone infections. im pretty sturdy, but do not want to be taken down by a stupid infection.
