my dad said i should slip him drugs if he ever has alzheimers. he would have to be very bad off for me to do it.
its one reason im all for legalizing assisted suicide/ death with dignity. it should be up to a person when their life is too much to suffer. the people who would kill themselves would do it anyway, but it would be better if you could do it with love and understanding surrounding you.
like Robin Williams. i can completely understand that he wanted to go, didnt want more suffering. but he should not have been forced to end it alone, lonely.

how cruel is society to "make" people suffer until their natural end, but then advance medical science to drag out the torture. women in my family live past 70, most well into their 80s. i have 50 more years of this crappy struggle. ugh.

As long as you're not charging $1600 for it , accepting some money isn't bad...and if it looks neat like I figure it does, a good, decent person would want to pay you for it.

ML, I know exactly of what you speak, and totally agree...about death with dignity as well as living long.

Even at 58 (soon to be 59), if I follow the trend for the women in my mother's family, I stand to have at least 30 to 40 years still left. :wheelchair:

The mother does different (stupid) things everyday. EVERY single day. It ranges from letting the cat out - one or the other, which OF COURSE I have to get back in, to using a glass she knows she can't hold well and dropping it, to well, LOTS of other stuff. easily avoided things. oh well...

Then she says..."I've learned my lesson THIS time."

Last night, for the one gazillionth time she said this and I said "Mama you say that at least once every day! You must know a lot of lessons..."


Now, I will also say this...as extremely aggravating as she is, without pause...she would never want to be put in a home, request it, nor put someone else's needs above hers. lol IF you are lucky, she might put your needs on an equal level with hers.

^ I could probably stand to be more like that; but, I doubt I'll "learn that lesson".

 

As far back as I can remember, 1 (one!) great-aunt was the only one that was not "ME first".

She still lived to be 100.

compared to how it used to be, these (chat threads) don't "blow up so fast" at all.

Personally, I'm not a fan of chat rooms.

 

Wifi is better in the rest room than anywhere else. I don't feel like takings my shit home with me.

I still don't have Windows 10 though I did get this little message on my taskbar telling me to get in line for it. I think Microsoft sent an email already saying that it's my turn and I missed it. Oh well. I keep hearing people say that it isn't great, but I read somewhere that it's supposed to be pretty cool. So I don't know what to think.

 

That no picture thing happens to me when I come here on my phone and don't get 4g's
