Someone beeped their horn at me as i went into a store. I saw they had the uniform of the factory down the street and i dont know anyone that works there so i gave him a "what the fuck do you want" look and continued going inside to pick up a couple things.
Came out of the store and i still couldnt see his face because the glare of the sun but i can see him moving over to the passenger side where i was walking by. Alls i can think is 'what does this motherfucker want from me'. I get next to the window and i see its a guy i worked with for 4 years. He just got laid off when they cut hours last winter. Was cool to see him again. Of course i appologized to him for not recognizing him when i went into the store.

and then there are people like The Mother...95 yrs old and will be 96 Dec. 21st this year. She is healthy and gets around quite well, even if she is as aggravating as hell and close to deaf. She communicates (which many people that old don't) even if you (meaning me) have to write whatever down if I REALLY want her to get what I'm saying...not that it does any good much of the time. :D

Ever since I was a child I was around more old people that most youngsters will ever have to be around. Something happens to old people sometimes and they decide they can be as rude as hell and act like they know everything when they have actually forgotten most of what they've known. I hate it if that offends people; but I've seen it quite often.

I have a whole set of "rules" for myself should I get old as hell...and my son has strict instructions that I AM to stick with these instructions or he can put me away somewhere. :)

Yes I'm told every time I see my folks that "please don't put me in a home". I'd never do that. Daddy actually thinks he wouldn't mind it, the social aspects etc. lol. But I've never found an old folks home to be very nice.. Shoebox apartment etc. I'd rather set daddy up in his house still, and the other sisters can look after him orrrr I'll fly him back to me and I'll look after him, or downgrade their place for a small townhouse with a garden to play in. I think he'd love that. :)

We always assume mom will go first..>.>

I dare say I'll be one of these old witches. :D

You don't go around to that neck of street kids, fuckin' loonies live up that way.

    :D

My late husband's mother is exactly 1 yr and 1 week younger than my mother...she now lives in a fancypants assisted living "retirement home". She has gone downhill in the past 5 to 10 yrs and is really kind of bad off physically. Her rather large social security and retirement checks cover her expenses, so its her own money that is keeping her up. :)

My point is that EVER since I met her, over 30 yrs ago, she was either: in the middle of some illness, getting over an illness or getting the illness. NEVER do I remember her ever saying "This is a good day. I feel good." Keep in mind none of these so-called illnesses had any observable symptoms...back then anyway.

My son is to put me away if I ever get like her. :D

    Away in a home?

I'd just feel bad you know. Especially when the kids then are like okay, cool they're looked after and then never see them again.

My daddy made it pretty clear that if he's ever bad off we have to suffocate him. He also says don't worry, he'll do the same for me too. :D

but yeah...in a home...however, I plan on being the most damn perfect old person there is, so I won't have to worry about it. :D
