I used to have neighbors that I couldn't stand in an apartment. There would be some knocking sounds coming from upstairs at all hours. Sometimes light tapping other times like something being deliberately dropped. It drove me nuts. Then they changed my rent to an amount I could not afford and I had to move.

One of my friends had some upstairs neighbors who would be dropping stuff all day and night. It sounded like people were falling off chairs almost.

Well one day the neighbours moved out, and I told him that at least the constant objects falling would end. Nope, the new neighbours are the exact same. I guess it has something to do with how the apartment is built, lol

This is more common than one might think. I have experienced exactly what you're describing (falling off of chairs?! wtf!) at more than one apartment complex.

A friend of mine works at a theatre and music venue that used to be a library. the bloke who lives upstairs bought the flat when it was a library and all nice and quiet and now has live jazz music and children's theater playing underneath his feet almost every night of the week. He went a bit mad and chucked a brick through the skylight into the bar, police had to be called.

Also, when my best mate moved house, his neighbours (who were this weird buddhist/hare krishna maybe?) commune threw a garden party because his dog used to bark in the night and they hated having him for a neighbour. He told the moving trucks to drive round the block and the people were cheering when he left. then the vans came back around. He'd moved to the house on their other side.

Just a couple of stories about neighbours and noise that came to my mind :)

Man.. There is something wrong with people, lol.I thought it was a fairly isolated incident.

I guess this is why some people take aspirin/Tylenol daily. They need something to cope with falling of of their chairs all the time!

I guess not. My current neighbors are really quiet, not falling around or anything!

Very true spaceman, there are legitimate reasons to take aspirin daily. I was just joking about the pain thing :)

Funny thing about aspirin is that if it were discovered today it would probably never go on the market due to its wide range of side effects. That says something about the way drugs are produced these days.

And soulcompromise.. You should give your neighbours a gift for such a feat! Haha

It probably would be. It's cheaper to pay lawsuits then to never let a drug go on sale. Pharmaceutical companies know what they are doing. They have hundred of chemicals patented and they do that before they are even sure what the drug does. They just know it's worth something.

Eh, I don't know about that. I've heard the aspirin remark from people who have worked in the pharmaceutical field. It depends largely on what the drug is meant to treat. For example, a cancer drug will have far more lax rules than a hair loss cream would. Or rather more wiggle room with side effects.

The problem with aspirin is that it has a wide range of effects in the body. Blood thinning, enzyme inhibition, anti-pyretic..

Yeah these companies have lots of drugs patented, and libraries of hundreds and hundreds of compounds which they use in tests to look for binding effects. But there is a long step between patent and marketing. The guidelines today are far, far stricter than they were when aspirin came out.

Michael Jai White is a 8xblack belt, won many tournaments and you have probably seen him on cheap martial arts films. He stays away from attention.

This is on the movie set of Blood N Bone, and good movie I think. Teaching Kimbo a few moves.

Ever since I got really sick last week I've been on a powdered fibre supplement drink. 1 heaped teaspoon about 3 times a day. It ends up making like this gel type stuff if you let it set in water and anyway, I have never felt better in the tummy tbh. I used to wake up with urging stomach aches and cramps on the daily. I think it had more to do with my bladder being full and pressing against the insides while I sleep but I no longer get that with the fibre. I haven't had a stomach ache for over a week now and more importantly, toilet time is back on my command. None of this, kick in the guts, oh shit I need to find a toilet in 5 minutes or else... Nope, now it's when I want I will go.

Mightily impressed so far. I've taken my ACV intake down from 3 times a day to one because I believe the fibre powder is working so much better. I started taking it because it said on the label that it was a daily cleanser for the stomach. :) I would highly recommend for anyone who suffers from IBS. I got diagnosed with that years ago after all tests showed I wasn't suffering from any deficiency this is what they said I had. An irritated tummy lining. Mmmyeah. :)

How many calories do you eat a day?

    Do you use microwaves?

Do you drink a glass of water before eating every meal?

    Do you eat organic vegetables?

    Do you buy frozen food?

Do you drink alcohol, smoke cigs, or weed when feeling hungry cause you don't want to gain weight?

Do you drink anything when stressed?

I did use a cider ale and it turned out great. Slightly fruity but not heavy tasting of fruit.
