I don't like the Spanish haters either. Like it or not they are a lot of them you better get used to living with them. America does not have an official language. If you think they have an easy life not speaking English though you are wrong.

    Oz is his nickname.

i am so mad about the epa wrecking the animas. i know the old mines are unpredictable, thats why they are assessing them, but they should have a better/ safer way to assess and deal with the old pollution. colorado is riddled with old mines.

I went to sleep a little after 10, thinking I was going to sleep fine and good and get up early in the morning.

So about 20 minutes ago I woke up. :bigcry: I tried :book: to lull me back to sleep and it just got me MORE awake. :bomb:

Yay I get to watch 3am Law & Order.

The Latino/Spanish haters make me angry also.

Of all the people I've ever worked with or even watched working, they are the hardest working people I've ever seen. Now they never minded leaving a mess for me to clean up at McD's; but still...they never argued about the food, how much anything costs (which was more unusual than you might think) and they always had a very nice attitude - which was more appreciated than many people realize.

    I don't think I ever saw a kangaroo swim. :d
I was never a big fan of the kangaroo anyway, it's really a pest in the parts where I lived. Every morning would be 5 new carcasses along the way to school or work.

The echidna on the other hand, is the best cutest animal in Australia except maybe the platypus. I remember bush walking and we saw an echidna and it's just burrows in and hides it's head like a turtle and then we could pat it and touch the spikes. Then their head comes out with its beady little eyes and you're like AWWWWWW HOW CUTE!!!

What's on my agenda - COME TO FIND OUT AT 8:30am this morning - is to be here to watch out for the dang painters Mama decided she HAD to get to paint the outside woodwork on this brick house...painting that really does not need to be done.

Painting that could have waited another year.

Painting that does NOT need to be done more than replacing the cracked picture window.

But since she can't hear, and the man she hired to do this seems to feel the need to knock over and over, I am the person to talk to...SO I need to just be here to answer his stupid ass...translate or whatever it is he needs. [IMG]

I also think he is assing around enough and "prepping" enough to justify $1650 for this little dab of woodwork.

I think cons have unjustly demonized the Mexicans coming here. They are not haters for the most part, except maybe the Mexican/Americans in Los Angeles. The Mexicans come here to work jobs that Americans won't do, like crop picking. They don't have the education to take jobs Americans want. Sadly, neither do a lot of Americans.

Mexicans used to pick crops for less than half of what Americans would consider do it for. But since the republicans have made such a big stink about immigration, Mexicans are not allowed to pick crops here any more....so U.S. farmers have to pay Americans $8.00 an hour and still can't find people to get the job done. So crops rot in the field now. And U.S. farmers can't compete with South American farmers, because they only pay their workers 50 cents an hour. So they can sell their crops for a lot less than U.S. farmers. That's why most of the food you buy in the grocery stores today is from South America.

Mexicans and the rest of Central and South America have a very strong family ethic. That is their meaning of life.

I think it was in Alabama that this small town passed some strict anti-immigration laws. Now all the very Republican farmers are bitching because no one is around to work their land. They have figured out they have to pay white people and the white people are not afraid to demand more. The farmers don't like it. Yet they are the same people who probably said "build a fence" for years.

I think Mexicans are still allowed to come here despite republicans taking issue about immigration. Immigration is legal; it's illegal immigration that's the problem. I think there has to be a standard for immigration though. For example isn't there a language test? I think there is.
