I went to go out today and my garage door would not shut. I climbed up and saw the gear and bearing was gone. Cursed a little, folded the ladder and called my landlord. The first time since I have moved in 30 months ago that I have called him for any repairs. I always do them but right now I am not able to physically manage that and I am not calling friends to do that for me.

He called me right back and had a repair person here within an hour to fix it. I love my landlord!

 

Someone took the gear and bearing?

 

No they were shot. The teeth on the gear were worn down and the bearing went when the gear let go. I did not explain that well the first time........ :bomb:

 

I emailed my landl and tin from him making the eaves in the drivewayords and told them if buddy isn't here tomorrow cleaning his mess then I am buying a roofer's magnet and they are getting the bill....finding tons of razor sharp bits of aluminium

 

You need a rake or vacuum for the aluminum... Magnet won't work.

 

That is not so great. Especially for your dog out in the yard, it will cut his pads.

 

i had a neighbour who did his roof himself and forced his very young daughter to pick up all the garbage...she did a great job but neither of them picked up the nails...then the fucker runs his lawnmower and spreads them around the block

everytime i found one id place it in his driveway

I figured that... Last year my roofer was trying to tell me that it was, because he had a "special" magnet. You know a "roofer's magnet". Shit barely picked up common nails and he blamed the guy using it.

Grace is the same way. My chair is not on wheels though so usually she can get up fast and out of the way. One of these days she will trip me though because she follows me around so close that if I turn around fast she is right there.

i'm gtting to used to having 6 legs instead of my normal 2....

he is becoming very protective of the entire house lately.....i'm a bit surprised at just how loud and piercing his bark is....my goodness....if he barks inside the car it is deafening


good morning....up way too early this morning

 

a few minutes ago I went outside with the dog and I saw fireworks over past the next farm.......I thought...that's weird....fireworks at 630am?...then I realize it was sparks shooting off th blade of a wind turbine and very time it came around it was shooting these red sparks way high in the air..........wtf?....I called our fire chief who lives near me and he said he would call the wind facility....it happened so fast I couldn't get my phone in time to film it....went out in about 2 minutes
