Its just a little bit cooler here than it was. I'm glad for any relief in the hot weather department.

Going to sleep when I get home from work, or soon after, is fine but I wake up EARLY and then I get to work today from 3 til midnight. yay

People tend to be crazier on Fridays around here (in my town, at my McD's) than any other day.

 

One of my very favorite managers is leaving McD's and going to Burger King, where they are NOT open all night at the drive-thru, nor are they open until midnight in the lobby. Burger King closes at 10, an actual decent hour, imo. She hasn't told anybody else where she is going, and only told them yesterday she was leaving. 2 week notice and buh-bye.

This particular Burger King burned down several months ago and just re-opened less than a month ago....not that that makes any difference. lol

 

It's gone from winter straight to summer. Where did spring go?

 

Closing time two hours later makes a big difference? Well maybe for some people. Evening hours do get payed better right?

 

I know it may sound like just a little...2 hours isn't much right? But DEARGOD it can seem like 2 hours in a non-ending twilight zone loop! Seriously, at the end of the night in that last hour the lobby is open, its like every strange critter on 2 legs comes in wanting something special or "cook it fresh now!". We go through so much food, there is nothing "old" anyway.

and no...no matter what hours you work, you don't make any more. You get a raise every so often - you are not told when...it just shows up on your check. I've gotten the "biggest" raise they offer - a whole whopping 15 cents! I've gotten it twice, so far. Maybe in a couple of months (a little less really) when I've been there a year I'll get another another whole whopping 15 cents more.

I can't wait to plant pansies in every available space...and around here there are lots of spaces.

Last year I planted 3 flats, and still could have gone for a few more planted areas.

Nobody sees them but me (and occasionally my mother will notice a plant or 2)...that's the funniest part.

 

Fall mushroom flushes are beginning in my area. Been eating chanterelles the past two weeks with practically everything. Was consideration starting a fire to take the chill out of the room but opted for wool instead. I'm a pansy but nobody seems to notice except my dog

 

hi lynn....I love fall too.just tore out my zucchini plants.....ate our one and only teeny tiny watermelon last night.....all seeds...........found 2 butternuts hidden in the pumpkin patch....forgot o planted them

 

i nearly started a fire too.i also opted for a heavy shirt lol......easier than going out and getting wood
