Its getting hot in here...

 

In California they would line up around the feeders three deep and wait their turn... Two feeders and I went through 2 gallons of food a day, I had A LOT of hummingbirds.

Here they lie in wait and chase each other off and rarely does anybody get any food. Weird birds... I still have a lot for this area, maybe about 20 birds in all, quite a few babies this year.

 

California birds. The most polite in the country.


I never saw a hummingbird in the wild.

 

turns out the little digital scale i found didnt need re-calibrating ...it just needs to be on a stable level surface or it shows error

i was watching a huge dragonfly yesterday flying around the backyard...then all of a sudden it did major ufo shit zig zags and shit at super speed

when it buzzed by my face at mach 3 i realized it wasnt a dragonfly it was a hummingbird

 

I havnt shaved in over a month and a half. So i have as full a beard as my face can grow. I plan on shaving tomorrow. Wondering if i should do some style or just take it all off.

My husband has found a hummingbird wing; from a fledgling. Also, we have a hummingbird nest! I've been seeing it for over a year. I thought that it was an old cocoon but I believe it's actually a nest from Spring before last. I'll have to photograph them and show you.

Anyway, make sure everyone eats their corn all the way down and then just throw it all away. The miracle of nature will happen and the cobs do their cocooning process secretly in the garbage can. very clever glen....don't leave anything for me to quote...i'm guessing you are knee deep in boxes and packing up cat toys....be sure to label every box...its a pain in the ass but it saves countless hours of looking for the box that contains that vital thing lol

Even the yogurt I have in the fridge has corn starch in it... this is going to be trickier than I thought it would be.

My schedule today is kind of shitty. Class from 12:30-330 and again from 630-930. Nkt sure if I'll come home in between or just wander the school aimlessly.
