My deck is redwood Ty

 

my living room baseboards are all redwood.. once thought they was pine with stain.

i had to pull out the sprinkler for the yard.. so dry with the dust and grass dying. hasnt rained since Blue died . 2months ago. which a super storm. not even a drizzle since.

 

The reason I put "Sequoia" in there is Redwood now is either Coastal Redwood or Western Red Cedar... Back in the 50's it was from the Giant Sequoia. They are all related trees but getting Sequoia wood these days unless it is reclaimed is very rare. If we had continued logging the Giant Sequoia as it was happening up into the 60's there would be none of them left. Your deck is probably Coastal Redwood. (which for a deck has advantages over Sequoia)

The Coastal Redwood is fast growing and replenish-able, The Giant Sequoia take thousands of years to reach maturity.

I am tired of being a hamster on the same wheel...I need to break out of some patterns here......some how.

 

It just got brightly sunny here.....light is hurting my eyes, as it had been gloomier all day....and this was sudden.

 

rain lasted all a good ten minutes and I was going to put the sprinkler away..
