The next day as they were leaving Bethany, Jesus was hungry. Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to find out if it had any fruit. When he reached it, he found nothing but leaves, because it was not the season for figs. Then he said to the tree, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again.” And his disciples heard him say it...

I just might try this boiled peanut thing this weekend.
is the shell a must or is it better one way or the other?

OMG! I had no idea boiled peanuts were either a southern or an eastern thing...or so it seems now.

Yes, you must boil them in the shells. I've never made any at home, but have been at my bff's house when she made them, and have seen about a gazillion places at fairs, in parking lots, and pretty much set up anywhere to sell them.

    I LOVE highly salted ones.

You have to start with RAW PEANUTS, in the shell. Do not use roasted peanuts.

They can be boiled on top of the stove, in a crock pot, over a propane burner, etc.

yep. raw peanuts, in the shell. can check farmers market type grocery stores, or feed stores (i only recently found them for the first time out here)
my Paw Paw (mississippi) would make boiled peanuts whenever my mom would come down. we called him when we were about 12 hours out, and he would start them on the outdoor burner so that they would be hot and ready when guests arrived. there are pictures of so many of my family members sucking the salt out of the shells over the years.

i like the super salty ones too, but i have to avoid too much salt, particularly iodized. but mother-fucking yum man.

There is a difference in Raw Peanuts, which are previously dried, and Green Peanuts.

Raw Peanuts will take many, many hours to cook.

I hear that Green Peanuts cook more quickly.

    Roasted Peanuts won't ever soften.

Edit: Roasted Peanuts will soak up some water and soften some but they never taste right.

I failed me CDL test... dammit..

i was doing the pre-test on the gov site. It had 20 questions.

the real test was 50 and not a single question was from there pre-test.

Some of the questions also... the fuck is this so impractical.

So i take the test again next saturday.

It will allow me to drive water tanker trucks, and fully loaded dump trucks anywhere for any reason. I am trying to get into self owned excavation business as someone i know said he would help me out once i had all the full license. I enjoy framing houses but im trying to transition.

I can also grow my dreads back.

I have not cut my hair since i cut them off.
