Found a double drawer set of those Coppes Napanee kitchen cabinets today... Sitting back behind some stuff at the ReStore (where I got that piece yesterday) $1.00... (not a typo, cost me a buck)


The other piece, or pieces I want are still there... Hope they hang around until I have some cash. If they are there long enough I'll get a hefty discount too... Could be a complete kitchen remodel gonna happen.

 

I bought a fig tree, hopefully I won't kill it.

 

I read back about your other great find. I think it is destiny that you are able to be finding what you need and that it fits with all you have. It is working that way for a reason. You are meant to tend to this home, property and critters.

It is some kind of synchronicity... It would be a very small niche market for these pieces and normally they would just be scrapped. For some reason this ReStore kept them... Of course now they know I want them, but before I said anything they would have just been "old cabinets" and not had much of a market.

 

I love it. Synchronicity. It feels magickal.

 

My paternal grandparents had a fig tree. Yum. Fig Preserves. I hope you make some one day.

i love boiled peanuts!
soft, usually very salty. you squeeze the shells and open them up, and eat the peanuts out of the middle. i usually eat them until my lips are desiccated from the salt. so delicious.

we did fondue, it was delicious. going to go for a walk now

 

never had boild peanuts..nor has anyone ever made them for me.

Boiled peanuts are as ML described, but making them at home you can adjust the salt to your taste. You can also add things like a dash of cayenne pepper to make them more interesting. Those are called "Cajun Boiled Peanuts". Hubby added honey once and I really liked those.

I guess I'd say the the boiling makes them more like a "pea" and less like a "nut".
